Chapter 28: Sabotage & The Dress!

Friday

SAMANTHA'S P.O.V

Me: "Mum?!" I said as she quickly turned to me with her hand over her mouth.

Mum: "We were just... Uh... Counting the freckles on each others face..."
Me: "You don't have any freckles." I said while running off to my room with Ethan following.

Jake: "Sam? Where were you this morning?" He asked as I entered my room.

Me: "I had to get something from Ethan's house."

Jake: "Look, I don't know what's happening with your Mum, but she can't leave my Dad's sight-"

Me: "My Mum?! Don't you mean your Dad? Your Dad's been the flirty one!"

Jake: "No way! My Dad hasn't been doing anything, it's all your Mum-"

Ethan: "Stop! If anything is happening between them, they're both equally being affectionate! We don't have time to fight over things like this. Samantha, come here baby girl. Jake, follow." He said while grabbing my hand as Jake came with us and ran out the front door.

Jake: "Don't you think we should see what's happening with-"

Me: "No, we can do that after school. I really don't want to be near them right now..."

Sasha: "Hey Sam! What's up?" She asked as I arrived at school the locker bay.

Me: "Well, I think Mum and Frank are uh, getting a little too close-"

Sasha: "Um ew. I think you should talk to your Mum Samantha. Find out what's really going on instead of avoiding it. It's up to you hun." She said before walking off to class.

Ethan: "Just don't worry about it babe. Let's get to class."

Jake: "Wait! Uh Sam, can we talk for a minute?" He said while tapping my shoulder.

Me: "Yeah...?"

Jake: "There's obviously something happening between my Dad and your Mum, so we have the opportunity to mess things up." He said while smirking and shaking his head up and down.

Me: "I'm not understanding?"

Jake: "Just think about it, Dad and Mum... I mean your Mum, together on the couch, then sabotage! We will wreck things between them, and at the same time it will be incredibly entertaining!"

Me: "Hmm... I think I'm liking this plan Jake."

Jake: "Your in?"

Me: "Oh yeah, this means war."

Recess came, and I thought this was a good opportunity to mention my birthday.

On the lunch table was Sasha, Tanisha, Ethan, Jake, Dylan, Zac.

Me: "So, my birthday is tomorrow..."

Ethan: "Tomorrow?! Don't you think you should've given us an earlier notice?"

Me: "Why, are you planning something huge for me?" I said sarcastically, winking at Ethan.

Ethan: "N-noo... What makes you think that?" He said blushing.

Me: "Relax Etho, only kidding."
It was weird, Ethan suddenly got nervous.

Sasha: "That's exciting, but he's right. You should've given us earlier notice Sam.

Me: "Well, I don't usually do much for my birthdays."

The rest of recess we continued talking about my birthday. I wasn't extremely happy to turn fourteen, but I guess it's a little exciting.
