SAMANTHA'S P.O.V
Mum: "Samantha, there's something I need to tell you, and you aren't going to like it..."
More bad news? How bad could it possible be?
Mum: "I have... I have brain cancer. I'm really sorry Samantha."
Me: "Ww-hat?!"
It was a nightmare coming to life! Why does this have to happen?!
Mum: "I just found out today. I'm so sorry sweety."
No, I can't deal with all this bad luck. I ran straight up to my room and slammed the door.

My phone beeped.
(Ethan 💘: Hey babe, miss u already.)
(Me: Ok.)
(Ethan 💘: Ok? What's wrong?)
(Me: I'm just not in the mood alright!)
He didn't reply. A few minutes later I heard the doorbell. I decided to open it guessing it was Ethan, and boy was I right.
Ethan: "Uh hey, we need to talk."
He led me up to my room, basically pulling me by my arm. After sitting me on my bed, he spoke.
Ethan: "Babe you need to tell me what's up."
Me: "I don't feel like-"
Ethan: "I don't care if you don't feel like it, but I do care about you and your happiness. You mean everything to me and I can't stand seeing you like this."
I have to admit that cheered me up a little, but I still can't believe the though of... It.
Me: "My Mum has Cancer. Brain Cancer. They found it early but..."
Ethan: "Oh... I'm so sorry Sam. I'm sure she'll be fine, at least it's early detection."
He gave me a warm, safe hug, but it just didn't feel the same as it used to.
Me: "I love you so much Ethan, your all I have!"
Ethan: "I love you too babe, but you've got your Mum, and I promise she will be fine!"

After Ethan left I realised that I needed to go up to Mum and face the facts.
Me: "Hey Mum, I'm sorry for running off before, I just needed some time alone.."
Mum: "That's fine sweety, I am really sorry you have to deal with this!"
Me: "Don't be sorry! I'm sorry you have to deal with the fact that you have Cancer!" I said loudly.
After I said those words, she looked at the ground biting her lip.
Me: "Oh, I'm s-orry."
Mum: "Don't be, it's true. I do have Cancer, but I'm going to get through this. I'm a strong person, and I'm going to do it for you my darling." She said with a big smile grabbing my hands.
Mum: "We are invincible! We can get through anything, as long as we're together!"
It made me so glad to see my Mum as the person she used to be. Strong, positive, and happy.
Me: "You are amazing Mum. I love you, and I know you can do this."
A tear ran past her cheek as the words flowed out of my mouth.
Mum: "Thank you my beautiful angel. You are my lucky charm..."
