Chapter 31: The 'Perfect' Leah

SAMANTHA'S P.O.V

"Helloooo sleepy head, wake up!"

I opened my eyes to see Jake directly above my head.

Me: "Ugh what time is it?" I mumbled.

Jake: "It's almost twelve o'clock... And you got a text!"

He gave me my phone as I saw a text from Ethan.

(Ethan 💘: Gm Sammy ❤️. Meet me at The Sea Shack restaurant for brekky at 11:30. 😘)

Me: "At half past eleven? It's twelve! He's waiting... Oh god. Jake I've got to go!" I said as I quickly put on some clothes.

After a fifteen minute walk, I finally arrived at the restaurant by the beach.

Ethan: "Aye, Sam!" He said waving from a table with someone else.

He immediately got off his seat and rushed up to me.

Me: "So sorry I'm late, um you didn't mention there would be anyone else..."

Ethan: "That's uh kind of why your here this morning... Meet my old friend Leah!"

Ethan went back to the table Leah was sitting on.

Ethan: "Leah, meet Samantha!"

Suddenly a beautiful girl with sparkling blue eyes and golden blonde hair turned around to face me.

Leah: "Pleasure to meet you!" She said as glowing white teeth appeared across her face as she smiled.

Me: "H-ey nice to meet you too... Excuse us for a moment!" I said politely.

Ethan followed me to the front of the restaurant so Leah couldn't hear us talk.

Ethan: "What's up?"

Me: "What's... Up? Well, don't you think it's appropriate for you to tell me about this girl before sitting down and eating with someone I barely know?"

Ethan: "Alright alright... Leah is an old primary school friend. We were friends for many years, until high school came. We went off to different high schools, actually Leah went off to a different state. Perth to be exact, so until this day I haven't seen her since. She's visiting for about a week, Saturday her plane takes off."

Me: "Well that's great! She seems nice... Really pretty."

Ethan: "Haha, you haven't seen much of her just yet!"

We headed back to the table and sat down on out seats.

Me: "So Leah, Ethan tells me your from Perth!"

Leah: "Yeah, just thought I'd come back to the old place for a visit!"

Ethan: "I'll be a sec, just have to use the restroom!"

I looked back into Leah's eyes. I saw mystery, secrets, and a whole lot more to come.

Leah: "So what do you think of Ethan?" She asked with a hint of cheekiness.

Me: "Oh well, he's my boyfriend so I think he's pretty cool."

Leah: "Oh yeah he's such a great guy... You know what's funny? I used to have a massive crush on him through primary school! In fact it all started when I first met him! How funny is that!" She said as an uneven smirk appeared on her face.

Me: "Ah-ah, so funny."

Ethan: "What've you two been talking about?" He asked as he came back to the table.
