Next morning Adi woke up at 6.30 which was actually late for her cz she was used to getting up latest by 5.30. But last night they were awake till 1 watching the movie and then few old movie songs on SonyMix.
Shlok was sleeping facing her and holding her by her stomach. She remembered him asking her to wake up with her, but she didn’t have the heart to wake him as he was sleeping peacefully. She kept watching him for quite a long time and thinking what good she had done to have got him. He had left everything for her. His parents, his house, all the luxuries, just for her and now she had to make sure she gave him everything. All the happiness in life.
She smiled thinking about all the things that made him happy. And his happiness also lied in her wearing the lingeries in Goa and her acting bold on bed. The only thing as of now on his mind was making love. She caressed his forehead lightly and bent to kiss him but moved back cz she didn’t want to disturb his sleep. She moved his hand from her tummy and started with her daily routine.
Shlok wanted to have toast sandwich for breakfast as discussed last night. She informed the security to send the bakery fellow for bread. Since she was not at home since long, she had to get vegetables, fruits and some grocery from the vendor at the gate, but she was hesitant to move out of the house as she all the time feared bumping into Sumi.
She decided to call up the store and order for the same, but the fellow said being a Sunday 2 of his delivery boys were off, so she had to come and take it if it was urgent. Adi went for a bath and thought of waking up Shlok and ask him to go and get the stuff, but then he was still sleeping, and she didn’t feel like waking him up.
She spoke to herself, someday I will have to face her then why not now. Jo hoga dekha jayega, I will only go and get it. She picked up her wallet, house keys nd bag and left.
She bought all the necessary items and carried only things that she needed urgently rest all the store fellow said he will send it across.
She reached her door and started hunting for the house keys in her purse. She was about to put in the key when the lift opened, and Sumi came out of it. Adi’s heart skipped a beat, and she thought to herself, wohi hua jiska hume dar tha.
Their eyes met for a nano second. Sumi just ignored her and moved ahead when Adi called out to her, ‘Mummyji’.
She didn’t stop. But Adi followed her till the lobby and bent to touch her feet and asked her, ‘How are you Mummyji?’ Sumi moved aside, gave her a dirty look and in a firm tone said, ‘Dare you call me Mummyji. After snatching away my son you have the courage to look into my eyes and ask me, how am I? Tum to bilkul hi besharam nikli. Khud ke parents to pehle se nahi the, mere bete ko bhi apne maa-baap se alag kar diya. If you didn’t want to listen to me, then why the hell did you make promises that you will never return back to my son’s life and said that you will never show him your face. Forget not showing face, you directly married him. Socha hoga, ek bar shaadi ho jayegi to jhak maar ke hum log tujhe accept kar lenge. But only in your dreams. I am never going to accept you.
Adi was pleading to her to calm down and listen to her, but she was not ready to listen. She kept insulting her in front of the security.
‘Mummyji, for once you listen to me, I will explain everything to you’.
Sumi screamed again, ‘To hell with your explanation, I care a damn. I just know one thing, that Shlok is not my son anymore, he has now become your husband. He didn’t even bother to come and meet me after he came. I can very well see your influence on him. Neither of you will be happy after hurting us. You think this kind of relation will survive? Never. Max 2-3 months and Shlok will be back to us, cz he is used to all the luxuries in life which you will never be able to give him. This is my challenge to you. He will be back to me soon, you just wait and watch. Ye love-shove thodi din ki baat hai. Ek baar bhoot utar jayega to dekhna, kaise chod dega wo tumhe’.
