Upon reaching there, he was greeted with yet another surprise which he had never expected. He was so delighted, that he just ran towards her with a broad smile on his face.

But then he stopped midway when he recollected over hearing the conversation between Adi and Ketu few minutes back at his place.
He thought to himself, ‘How can she always insult Adi and get away with it. And now why she is here. I don’t want to meet her, if at all I meet, I will end up hurting her and spoil my day as well’.
He turned towards Adi and said, ‘Adi, lets go from here. We will go to some other temple’.
Adi: Shlok Papa and Mummyji are here. How can we just move out.
Shlok: Tum mahaan ho Adi, main nahi. I heard your n Pappa’s conversation. I just cannot forgive her for her unruly behavior towards you. You are my wife and deserve all the respect.
Adi joined her hands and said, ‘Please Shlok, if at all you love me, don’t do this. Just forget everything for the time being and take her blessings which is the most precious blessing of all. She is you Mom Shlok. Unki jagah koi nahi le sakta. She loves you the most and that’s why she is here. Please Shlok please. I will never ask you for anything apart from this’.
Shlok lovingly looked at her and said, ‘Tum waise bhi mujhse kaha kuch mangti ho Adi, ab tak to tumne sirf mujhe diya hi hai’.
Adi: We will talk about this give and take later Shlok. Now please go and take her blessings with a smile and give her a tight hug.
Shlok did as Adi said. He moved ahead and took Sumi’s blessings. She blessed him and hugged him tight. Shlok melted in the warmth of her love and silently thanked Adi for the same.
Adi hesitantly moved ahead and took her blessings. Though Sumi never reacted, but she was not rude either. She just ignored her, and they all went inside the temple. They all did the pooja and Sumi paid Panditji for doing Abhishek on Shlok’s behalf coming Chaturthi. She then asked the Panditji to come and do the pooja of the bike.
When Panditji instructed Adi to apply tika to the bike, Adi asked Sumi to come ahead and do the needful and she happily did. Though Shlok wanted Adi to do it, but he kept quiet.
After the pooja was done, Sumi invited Shlok for dinner at home.
Sumi: I have asked Pappa to come early today. Please come and have dinner with us. I will make all your favourite dishes like I do it every year.
Shlok: Only if the invitation is for both of us, else I am not interested Mom. I AM NOT COMING WITHOUT ADI.
Ketu opened his mouth to speak, when Sumi stopped him and said, ‘The doors of our house are always open for YOU Shlok. I will wait for you. If you still love us and care for us, do come’.
Shlok bluntly replied, ‘There are many ways to express my love and care for you both. A place where Adi is not accepted, I am not going. She is Mrs. Adreja Shlok Mehta and deserves equal respect and love as me. So if you are ready to welcome her, I am in’.
Sumi didn’t reply. Shlok got his answer. He looked at Ketu and said, ‘Pappa, please don’t wait for me’.
Saying so, he held Adi’s hand and moved from there.
Sumi stood there motionless with tears in her eyes and more hatred for Adi in her heart.
Adi kept glaring at Shlok. She wanted to talk but knew Shlok will not listen to her right now. He asked her to sit on the bike and he rode. She didn’t know where they were going, but she never questioned him. In 10mins they reached Gaymukh temple. They prayed there and then went and sat on the parapet and enjoyed the view of the creek with cool breeze.
They both were silent for some time. Adi gave him time to cool down cz she knew he was upset for talking rudely to Sumi when he knew she was concerned for him.
He looked at Adi with unshed tears and said, ‘I love her Adi, same as I love you. And I know she too loves me a lot. I know she must be crying now and upset with me. But then why can’t she understand that there is no Shlok without Adi and will never ever be. Adi hai to Shlok hai.
