The event ended at 11.30, post which they had their dinner which was a simple Gujrati food. In between the function, starters were being served, hence they were not much hungry. The climate was pretty cold as it was end of October and winters had started. None of them were in a mood to sleep. Next day also there was only Mehendi function which was to start in the afternoon, post lunch.
Hriday said, ‘Let’s ask them to arrange for a bonfire, we can either play games or antakshari’.
Everyone agreed, as they all wanted to enjoy and dance some more.
Soon a campfire was arranged by the resort. Everyone went and changed to something comfortable and gathered in a circle. Baa was tired with the entire day’s events hence she went to sleep asking the rest of them to enjoy. Krisha n Ved had dozed off to sleep after dinner, so Sakshi and Hina made them sleep in Baa’s room so that they also could join the others.
Kaka, Mr. Dixit, his wife and Somu’s parents were also tired, so they too retired to their room leaving the youngsters to enjoy.
Adi wanted to talk to Hina, so she asked the others to go ahead. Shlok was tensed thinking what was going on in her mind now, but then he had no choice but to leave her alone with Hina.
As soon as Hriday and Shlok left, Adi hugged Hina and started crying.
‘What happened Adreja? Why are you crying dear you should be happy. 2 more days and Shlok will be all yours’, said Hina.
‘But he is not happy Di, he is missing mummyji and pappaji. I am happy at least you n Jiju came. He shows he is not bothered, but I know him very well. He is missing them every minute. These functions are incomplete without them. Forget joining, they are not even talking to him. Can’t Jiju speak to them and ask them to come for our wedding Di? asked Adi.
Hina: You think we both never tried Adi? Since the time we came to know we both are behind them, trying to convince them. But they are too upset about whatever happened’.
Adi: Trust me Di, I did not lie. I was nowhwere involved in any of these things. In fact, I always used to ask him and he always said that they were aware about my past. I never intended to hurt them in any ways. I know how it feels being without parents by our side. I can feel his pain, but am totally helpless. I never wanted to go against their wishes and that’s the reason, I just left my place overnight so that he cannot trace me, but …
Hina: He would have found you anyhow from anywhere in the world Adi. I have seen his love for you. He loves you like crazy. Good he found you soon, nahi to wo pagal ho jata. He would have ended his life. I am happy he found you and you both are together forever. Parents ka kya hai, they will get convinced sooner or later. You think they will be able to live without Shlok for long. And by now I know you dear, you need not give any clarifications to me. I am surprised that Baa too supported him.
Adi: But what will they think about me Di? Believe me, I tried my best to convince him to go back and get married as per mummy-papa’s wish. I totally ignored him, but when he fell sick, I couldn’t stop myself. I too love him like crazy Di and I cannot think my life without him. At one point, I too thought of ending my life, as it was not worth living without Shlok.
Hina stopped her midway and said, ‘Now stop talking about all this. Take life as it comes. A day will come when everything will be alright and when you will look back, you will laugh remembering these moments. And I know, somewhere my parents also love you, it’s just that they believe too much in Kundlis and all and are scared for Shlok. Else they don’t have anything against you. So just give some time to them and start your life with a positive attitude. You are now going to start a new phase of your life. Shlok is too immature, but am happy he has you by his side. I am sure, he will become a better human being with you. It’s not that he is not now, but he has to understand many things. He has got everything that he has asked for since childhood. But now, with only you earning as of now, it will be difficult for you both.
Adi: Di, you don’t worry, I will give him all that he wants. I will work hard if need be, but will never let him down. Till now, it was him who has given me everything that he thought I deserved and has pampered me to the core in these few months, and now its time for me to do my best to keep him happy.
