Adi stopped in her tracks and looked at him with her mouth n eyes wide open. ‘What? Hame bina puche hi aapne order bhi kar diye?’
‘As if permission leta to tum karne deti. You have no option but to wear them now, nahi to mere paise waste’.
She just nodded her head in denial and went to her room.

By 10.30-11.00, everyone was up and gathered for breakfast at the restaurant. The Mehendi function was to start post lunch at around 2.
Adi went to her room to find Hina bathing Ved. Ved gave a lovely smile to Adi.
Hina: Mami ka deewana hai ye Mama ki tarah. Tujhe dekhte hi kaisi smile aa jati hai iske face pe.
Adi smiled and asked her if she had breakfast.
‘Not yet, sab sath me chalet hain’.
‘Di, thank you’.
‘Thank you for what Adi?’
‘For the gift’.
‘Ohh You met Hriday?’
‘Na, Shlok ne bataya’.
‘Wo itni jaldi uth bhi gaya?’
‘Haan, kabke uthe’.
‘Wah, tere sath rehke sudharne laga hai’.
Ved was done with the bath, Adi said, ‘You have your bath Di, I will ready him’.
Hina went for bath and Adi readied Ved. As soon as she was out, Adi went for bath. When Adi came out, Hina handed her a bag and said, ‘Here, I have got some clothes for you of my choice. Hope you like them’.
Adi, ‘Di why did you spend so much? I mean Goa trip and now these clothes’.
Hina: Shlok ki badi behen hoon, Mom nahi hai to main Mom ki jagah filhal le sakti hoon na.
Adi: I respect you the same as mummyji Di.
Hina: Then just keep accepting whatever I give you. There is lot more to come.
Adi opened the bag and saw a beautiful golden chaniya choli for the mehendi function, a yellow long anarkali full length kurti with netted dupatta to be worn for haldi ceremony, one sea green chaniya choli and a bag full of western outfits.
Adi was dumbstruck seeing the dresses. She wanted to say something and Hina said, ‘I know you don’t get good stuff here in Bhuj, and I wanted you to wear the best of clothes. I had spoken to Baa over the phone and told her that if I can’t make it, I will somehow manage to send these to you. But luckily we only came’.
Adi swallowed a lump in her throat and said, ‘Me and Shlok are blessed to have you and Jiju’.
Hina: Now please stop being emotional, ye bata kapde ache lage ki nahi?
Adi: Bahut ache hain Di.
Hina: I hope Shlok likes what we have got for him. He is too fussy about clothes. He never accompanied me and Mom for shopping during festivals, and if we got for him, he used to say..kya choice hai yaar tum logo ki. And then he used to go and get it exchanged it. He is going to give u a tough time Adi, be prepared.
Adi: I am ready Di, anything for him.
Hina just shook her head and said, ‘Let’s go for breakfast’.
While having breakfast she got a call from Hriday’s cousin sister Bhavini. She had called up to confirm the Mehendi timings and the address of the venue. She was from Mumbai but had come to Bhuj for some work. She was the one who had arranged for the Mehendi girl and Baa had invited her also for the wedding.
All their friends went to their respective rooms to have bath and get ready for the Mehendi function. Only Baa, Hriday, Hina, Shlok and Sakshi’s family were discussing about the temple visit after their wedding.
Hriday checked on google and said, ‘it’s a 2.5 hours drive from here. We better visit there tomorrow itself after the wedding ceremony’.
Baa: Peethe subah 7.30 tak ho jayegi aur shaadi ka muhurat 9 baje ka hai. Maximum 1 baje tak hum lunch karke free ho jayenge aur turant niklenge. 5 baje mandir se nikalke Gandhidham pahuchne me humko raat ho jayegi.
Shlok: Baa, peethe mate ketla vage uthvu padse? (What time I have to get up for Haldi)
Baa naughtily said, ‘Tu to subah bola tujhe neend hi nahi aati. Adi ne teri neend uda ke rakhi hai. Soyega hi nahi to uthne ka tension kyu le raha hai’.
Everyone laughed at Baa’s dialogue.
Shlok: Arre main to aap sabke liye puch raha tha. Mujhe koi tension nahi hai.
Milind: Bhai hum sabki chinta tu mat kar, humko to aadat hai.
Baa: Hina, meehndi wadi time par aavi jase ne? (Mehendi girl will come on time na)
Hina: Haan Baa, mari Bhavini Didi sathe vaat thai gai che.
Baa: E pan aave che ne? (She is also coming na)
Hina: E kale lagan ma aavse. (She will come for the wedding tomorrow)
Baa: Ok.
