Hina came with a plate of paratha for Adi and asked her to sit. She asked her to hand over Ved to Hriday and eat. He went out in the verandah with Ved. Shlok and Adi had their breakfast looking into each other’s eyes.

Once they were done with breakfast, Hina went to her room to ready Ved. Ketu and Baa also came and asked if Shlok and Adi were done with breakfast. Hriday was watching TV, Shlok had gone to freshen up in his room. Adi and Bakuben were preparing for lunch. Ketu asked Adi to keep the menu simple for lunch as the breakfast was very heavy and that he over ate it.
Ketu and Baa too joined Hriday and called for Adi.
Ketu handed over an envelope to Adi.
Adi: What is this Papa?
Ketu: In our tradition we give Neki to our daughter in law when she cooks for the first time after marriage.
Adi: That’s for daughter in law, but I am your daughter, just like Hina Di. I am not going to accept it. You have done enough for us; your blessings are all that we need.
Ketu: My blessings are always with my children, this is just a token of love.
Baa: Le le beta, rivaj hai.
Adi took the cover and from the feel she could make it there was lots of cash in it. She opened it and saw a bunch of 2000Rs. notes.
She handed over back to Ketu and said, ‘I agree as per the rivaz I am supposed to accept this, but not this much Papa. This is way too much’.
Ketu: Beta, tum logo ko jitna du utna kam hai. Mera bas chalta to tum dono ko kabhi apne se alag nahi karta, but I am totally helpless.
Adi: I understand Papa, you came all the way here to bless us on our big day was a big thing for us.
Ketu: For that you really need to thank Hriday kumar. I am also grateful to him for this.
Hriday: Su Papa tame pan.
Shlok came down and asked, ‘Su chale che?’ (Whats up)
Baa: Aa tari bairi, neki na paisa nathi leti Ketu pase thi. (Your wife is not accepting the Neki money from Ketu)
Shlok: Arre Pappa, mane aapi dyo. Abhi hum dono ek hi hai, kyu Adi?
Adi handed over the cover to Shlok and said, ‘You see the amount Shlok then decide if we can accept it’.
Shlok opened the cover and said, ‘Thank you Pappa, if she is not accepting, I will’.
Adi couldn’t say anything in front of everyone, but she didn’t like him accepting so much cash from Ketu.
She said she has to prepare lunch and went to the kitchen.
Baa: Beta, you have to earn that money. It’s her right as she cooked for the first time after marriage.
Shlok jokingly said, ‘Ohh then fine, let me also help her out, we both will cook’.
Ketu: Shlok, thank you.
Shlok: For what Pappa?
Ketu: We wouldn’t have found a girl like Adi for you. You are lucky to have found such a selfless girl. Treasure her beta. You both will have to face many hardships for few months, support her. You are married now, so stop being childish and learn to be responsible. Shlok: Ok Papa.
Hina came down with Ved and said, ‘It’s already 12, just 1 hour left. Get ready so that we can have food by 12.30 and leave’.
The food was ready, they all sat together to have a simple menu consisting of Khichdi n Kadhi with pickle and papad.
Adi started winding up the kitchen with Bakuben when Ketu came and requested her to accept the cash, ‘Adi beta, please accept this. Am sure you would have accepted this if your own father had given you’.
Adi’s eyes welled up, she hugged Ketu and said, ‘Trust me Papa, I treat you no less than my father’. She accepted the cash from him.
They all left for the airport bidding good bye to Baa and Bakuben. Shlok and Adi too went to drop them till the airport.
Hina: You people are also leaving tomorrow na?
‘Yes, same flight tomorrow. You all should have extended by a day’, said Shlok.
Hriday: Bhai teri shaadi hui hai. Hum itni chutti afford nahi kar sakte.
Ketu: Yes, I also will have to go tomorrow to office. Have completely ignored since past few days cz Sumi wanted me to be with her.
Adi: Papa, please take care of Mummyji. And let us know once she is back, we need her blessings.
Ketu: You sure beta?
Adi: Yes Papa. I am ready to bear her anger. She has all the rights. What we did is not right and at least we need to apologize for the same.
Shlok: Pappa, kai faydo nathi ene samjhavine. Nakhva dyo sherni na modha ma hath.
Hina: But I also feel you should be meeting her once Shlok. She is our Mom. Adi is right. You never know, she might mellow down seeing you and accept your relation.
Shlok: Last thing on the earth Di. But fine, if you both wish to, we will go.
