She ignored him and started with her work. Shlok held her from behind and brushed his cheeks his her, smudging the entire sauce on her cheeks. She turned her to face him and gradually soiled both her cheeks, chin and lips with the sauce and then licked her face the way Adi had licked him.
Adi had totally forgotten what had happened to her some time back.

Shlok’s phone was buzzing continuously but he did not answer. Once they were done with their lovey dovey moments, he looked at his phone and was shocked to see the caller. There were 3 missed calls of Ketu and 1 from Sumi.
Adi looked at his face and then his cell.
He looked at her and said, ‘Guess something urgent, cz 4 calls from Mom and Pappa’.
He dialed Ketu’s number who answered in one ring.
Ketu: Where were you Shlok? I have been trying since long.
Shlok: What happened Pappa? All well na? Mom is fine? Is she at home? Am coming today to meet her.
Ketu: All good here. Mom also fine. She has gone out, will be back in an hour. How is Adi? Is she ok?
Shlok: Ya, she is fine. Why did you ask?
Ketu: Sumi met Adi in the lobby some time back it seems, and they had an argument kind. Sumi usually never lies to me, but what she said about Adi, I am shocked. Did Adi tell you anything?
Shlok looked at Adi and kept staring at her, then replied to Ketu, ‘No Pappa, she has not told me anything about it. Can you tell me what all Mom said?’
Ketu: Beta, you first listen to what Adi has to say. Cz if I tell you, your mind will race in one direction and you might not listen to her side of the story. So just keep the phone and speak to her first.
Shlok said ok and disconnected the call.
Shlok in a firm tone, ‘Now do I need to ask you, or you will tell me what happened?’
Adi had to tell Shlok whatever happened. But she did not tell him about the rude comments that Sumi passed. She just mentioned about the challenge and that she too challenged Sumi and accepted her challenge.
Shlok didn’t say anything. He just kept quiet and went and sat on the chair. Adi went close to him and sat near his feet, looked into his eyes and said, ‘I am really sorry Shlok. I don’t know what got into me. I know I shouldn’t have spoken that way to Mummyji. And I swear by you, it was not intentional. It’s just that I love you way too much and have immense trust on our relationship that I couldn’t take it. And bcz of these mood swings of mine, I answered back to Mummyji which I shouldn’t have.
Shlok just looked at her and a tear escaped from his eyes. Adi felt extremely bad seeing it. She also couldn’t control her tears and said, ‘I am sorry Shlok. I will apologize to Mummyji for this. I know I have done a wrong thing. Please forgive me Shlok, I will never ever do that again. But you please speak to me, don’t get angry on me’.
She joined both her hands, kept her head on his lap and cried like a kid and said, ‘You can punish me for what I did, but please don’t leave me Shlok’.
Shlok held her by her arms and took her in his embrace and cried. Once he calmed down he said, ‘I am not upset with the way you spoke to Mom that way. I know you and I know my Mom also too well. I am sure there is much more than what you told me about what all she must have said, but you are not sharing it with me. And that is the reason you retorted back to her. But tell me Adi, why I get to know this through a 3rd person? Morning I asked you had you cried, you lied to me. Don’t you still trust me? Don’t I deserve to know the things that happen to you? I have already lost you once, now again I can’t afford to lose you Adi. I am deeply hurt bcz YOU didn’t tell me’.
Adi wiped his tears which continuously kept flowing from his eyes, held his face and said, ‘I am sorry Shlok. I promise you, henceforth I will never hide anything from you. I will share each and everything with you. And never say that I don’t trust you. I trust you more than myself and based on that only I accepted Mummyji’s challenge, but I still don’t trust my luck Shlok. It has always betrayed me. This luck of mine has taken away all the people I loved and hence I have this fear that some day you will also leave me and go. I can’t live without you Shlok. You are all that I have now and now I will not be able to survive and bear the loneliness. I will just end my life if you leave me.
Shlok hugged her fiercely and said, ‘Dare you talk such nonsense Adi. Tum ho to main hoon, meri duniya tumse shuru hoti hai aur khatam bhi tumpe hi hogi. Na meri life mein tumse pehle koi thi aur na kabhi hogi. And what luxuries is Mom talking about? She thinks I crave for materialistic things, to hell with the bike and the car. If I had loged for these things, I would have never left everything and married you.
Now if she is ready to accept US, then too I am not going, unless I prove her wrong. We both will work hard and earn the luxuries, till then we are not returning to my parent’s place. Promise me Adi, you will support me, have patience and lever lose faith in me. Together we can, and we will. But I will need your immense support. I am not like you Adi, I have not seen the other side of life like you, but I know, with you by my side, we will pass all the adversities of life. Aur apni best friend Baa to hai hi apne sath.
Adi: Yes Shlok, I am always there and will always be by your side. But can I please request you for something?
Shlok: Bolo.
Adi: Please go and meet Mummyji once. After all she is your Mom Shlok. And please aapko hamari kasam hai, don’t argue with her for anything and don’t even mention about morning incident with her. And if she says anything against me, JUST ignore.
Shlok: You think I will be able to ignore that?
Adi smiled and naughtily said, ‘Shut your eyes when she speaks about me and think about what all wild things we will do in Goa. Trust me Shlok, you will cool down’.
Shlok literally laughed and said, ‘Meri pyari biwi, I am crazily waiting for the Goa trip. Want to know all the WILD and CRAZY things you gonna do with me’.
Adi: Promise me Shlok, you will not back answer Mummyji or fight with her.
Shlok: Promise Jaan.
