I nestled in against Jins' solid warmth. His scent was intoxicating. I could feel his chin resting on my head, his fingers playing with my arm. I nibbled on popcorn, sitting up the tiniest bit to feed him some. Masculine jaws and arms were my weakness and it thrilled me to watch him chew each kernel, my eyes tracing its' journey past his Adams' apple. He looked relaxed, calm. I laid back down and tried to give some attention to the screen. I had actually already seen His Final Gift but I was willing to watch it again. It had been my first ever KDrama. Also the first movie to tear my heart into absolute shreds. I was curious to see if SeokJin would shed tears when the tragedy hit. My guess was that he was a crier. It would be fun to find out. I glanced around to see if there were any tissues in this room. None. But I had some in my bag.
About 20 minutes in, my mouth was feeling very dry.
"Are you thirsty?" I asked Jin.
"Hmm?" His reply rumbled up through his chest, vibrating my ear. I turned my head to peer up at him. The blue light of the TV in the dark gave him a soft, otherworldly glow. Navy painted locks brushed his forehead, framing his glowing eyes.
"Are you thirsty?" I whispered. "Would you like a drink?" It seemed so quiet in here, it was a shame to disrupt it. He smiled, patting my head.
"Yes, please."
"Okay." I turned away from him onto my elbow to reach for the cup placed on the floor. As I stretched towards it, my sweater slipped off my shoulder again. I reached to pull it up but Jin beat me there. He tugged it back up, leaving his hand to linger, cupped on my shoulder. I paused. A long moment of silence. Then I could hear him shifting towards me.
"Hmmm..." That deep hum again. His thumb slipped beneath the soft knit and gently slid the sweater off again. My shoulder was bare and I could feel his warm breath as he leaned in close to me. Fingertips tickled along my skin. Sliding, barely touching like the tiny feet of dancing fairies. He bent down towards me and I wondered if he could hear the frantic thumping of my heart. Goosebumps were raised up in anticipation, marking where he had touched me. I could actually hear him smiling as he blew cold air across my flesh and watched it goosebump tighter. I shivered.
In a startling flash of fire, I felt warm lips press gently onto the curve of my shoulder. His hand was squeezing my arm, the thumb stroking back and forth. My body was paralyzed. Floating outside of myself, no sense of time or contact with the floor; just the overwhelming sensation of warm lips trailing kisses all along my shoulder. He was getting braver. I felt the parting and the soft addition of nipping teeth. I had never dreamed this man was capable of such boldness.
His hand slid over and down, gently wrapping around my throat and turning me towards him. I rolled onto my back, staring up at the deep chocolate eyes, drinking in the moment. His hand was cupping my face. Finally! Our moment had come at last. I bit my lip, watching him build up the courage. In seeming slow motion, SeokJin leaned down toward me. Our noses bumped and he paused there, our breaths mingling. Leaning in...my lips tingled...
BANG BANG! The loud rapping at the door made us both startle.
"Aaaay!" shouted my suitor, frustration at the interruption. He turned his face towards the interloper. Images from the television screen lit up his features.
"Your 2 hours are up." came the professional voice from the other side. "Did you want to pay for more time?" I started to giggle. Jin looked down at me, flushing. He was embarrassed. I couldn't stop laughing.
"Do you want to stay here longer?" He asked, as though the question itself was inappropriate. I shook my head.
"No, let's get out of here." I pinched his chin, smiling. "It's okay. Let's go somewhere else." He sat up, pulling me with him. His brows were pulled together in a scowl.
"Did you want more time, sir?" The voice called again.
"Aniyo." Jin asked me quietly. "Where should we go?" He ran his hand through his hair. I stood up and stretched, fixing my sweater.
"My children are home by now." He nodded, rubbing his forehead in thought.
"Do you have to go home right away?" I shook my head. An idea dawned on him. I could see it sprout and blossom in his eyes. "Would you like to see where I live?"
"I would love to." He took my proffered hands and I pulled him to his feet. "SeokJin-Nim, it's fine. We're okay." I tippy-toed to kiss his cheek. That restored his confidence. A smirk stretched across his lips.
"Let's go."
