"You don't have to get up so early, Telly-Ah, I can grab my own breakfast." Jin was pulling on a hoodie to head to work in the chilly morning air. "Go back to bed."
I set his plate before him, still steaming.
"I can't sleep. I just have so much energy!"
It was true. I had suddenly hit on a massive onslaught of decluttering and deep cleaning. I had already pared down all clothing and toys to bare minimum levels and was due to tackle the kitchen cabinets today.
Jin sighed with the first swallow of coffee.
"You should rest. The children won't even be up for school for another hour. I arranged a driver so you can relax."
I patted his back and sat beside him, sniffing deeply of a fragrant peppermint tea.
"I will. Once I finish the kitchen.. and closets."
"You're pregnant. Have the housekeeper do it. She never minds a few extra hours."
"That's okay. I had her help me flip mattresses and wash all bedding yesterday."
"You're doing too much. 7 more weeks til baby comes. Enjoy it."
"September kind of snuck up on us. Cher leaves in just a few days, we have court on Friday...still so much to do."
Jin was shoveling rice and eggs into his mouth. He chased it with hot coffee.
"But you don't have to do it all. Let me help. Or hire help. Don't overdue it."
There was a quiet knock at the door. It was Namjoon.
"Good morning! I sort of followed my nose," he graciously accepted the cup of coffee, inhaling it before sipping carefully. "Sorry, Noona, to steal him so early, but work...you know." I handed him a paper bag filled with hot wraps of omelettes.
"For the boys." I smiled. Namjoon gifted me with his happy dimples. He kissed my cheek.
"You spoil us." He grinned. "But I am not complaining."
"Too much," Jin remarked as he cleared the last of his plate, "All the members are getting too reliant on you." He kissed me, holding my jaw in his hand. "But you love it, don't you? A nurturer at heart."
"Takes one to know one." I countered. Jin winked.
"I'll call you at lunch. You had better have your feet up." He bent to kiss my tummy. "Later, my son."
Once Jin was off, I woke the children to prep for school. Cher was still nervous in their second week of classes. She tended to keep to herself and was uncomfortable around so many strangers. Eowynn, on the other hand, had already made a large group of friends and was eager to get to class to see them. Atticus made friends easily but was frustrated by the attention he was getting from nearly every girl near his age. His golden blonde hair and bright blue eyes stood out in the group. Brigette was excelling in her studies and loving the social side of classes as well. The school was a great fit and encouraging all of the children to pursue creative arts.
I went with for the drive and then had the driver take me to the market. The guys had started pitching in for groceries as I had become the cook to them all. Occasionally Jin or Suga might take over meal prep, but generally, I was happy to provide at least one hot meal every evening and a hot breakfast more often than not. A weekly cooking class had become a hobby and the recipes were always fun to try out on the guys. I had been churning out curriculum books at an alarming rate and it was likely that our numbers would hit 50 titles in the next couple of months.
