The dinner was exquisite. SeokJin devoured dish after dish of delicious food, giving me a commentary on each. The babies had made the rounds through the entire hall and I had slipped out to nurse them before Jins' mom tucked both into a car and said her goodbyes. It would be a week before I would see them again. We would be leaving on our honeymoon and only SeokJin knew where we were headed. Chung Cha had to be back at the Orphanage tomorrow morning, also. The pang of sadness was shortlived, however, as the wedding party was in full swing.
We danced our first dances and made the rounds through the crowd. The boys had arranged a surprise and sang a new song written just for the occasion. It was beautiful.
"We have another surprise, too!" Hoseok was very excited.
"What surprise?" Jin was confused and nervous. He hadn't anticipated other plans from which he was exempt.
"A musical guest." Hobi grinned his high cheeked smile as he ushered in the five handsome youths. Taehyung was seating Jin and I in front of the open floor for the best view.
"TXT!" Eowynn gasped. The boys looked shy in front of this group. Ironic, as they had performed before thousands, but here was at the function of one of their respected Hyungs. They took their places and the music began.
TXT performed 5 songs and the cheer was deafening. Hoseok came to hug them all and the relief at the praise was very evident on their nervous faces. Jin and I went in to thank them.
"You guys were great!" Jin praised. "Not as good looking as I am, but your performance was impressive." I elbowed him in the ribs as he shook their hands and clapped their backs. "Come, eat! Enjoy the party!"
Music started again and the floor filled with party goers. Jimin had dragged Cher onto the floor and both were dancing and laughing. Jungkook was repeatedly trying to evade being cornered by the many admirers begging him to dance and finally he caught Eowynns' hand and pulled her onto the floor. Hoseok and Brigette were freestyling and Atticus and Tae were at the punch bowl chatting, ignoring the girls batting eyes in their direction.
Namjoon came and took my hand and gently caught my waist, helping hold the weight of my dress.
"Welcome to the family, Noona. Officially." His eyes were soft, dimples deep.
"Thank you, Namjoon-Ah. It is an honour to be counted among you."
"You have brought a lot of wonderful things with you, too, Telly-Ssi. We love you." I stood on tippy toes to drop a kiss on his dimple, my eyes brimming up with tears.
"I love you guys. Every one of you."
SeokJin had stepped in, tugging my hands from Namjoons'.
"Alright, alright...you are making her cry and she is kissing you. Time for the husband to cut in." I went to object but Namjoon winked and we whirled away.
"Are you jealous, Jin-Ah?" I teased. The song had shifted to a slow ballad.
"Never. With a face like this, there is never a need to be." He grinned. I laughed.
"Pretty confident, today, Mr. Kim."
"Why shouldn't I be, Mrs. Kim?"
"Fair point." We twirled to the slow song, taking stock of guests as we passed. Jimins' eyes were closed contentedly, Chers' head tucked in on his shoulder. Eowynn was now at the snack table deep in conversation with someone and Jungkook looked panicked as a pack of girls were closing in on him. I looked up at Jin.
"I think I had better rescue him." Jin nodded and let me go.
"I haven't seen Yoongi in awhile. I am going to go find him." I watched his tall, muscled form fade into the crowd as I crossed the dance floor to JK.
