"Do you want me to take you home?" Jin was seated behind the steering wheel, idling in the parking spot. I placed my hand on his arm.

"No. I would like to stay with you...if you want me to. Let's go to your place." He looked me over, unseeing in his emotions. He nodded and shifted into drive. "I can drive if you want." He nodded, dismissing the idea.

We were silent on the drive. I leaned my head on his bicep, trying to forge a connection in his isolated pain. For several blocks, I was alone. It was a great relief when he finally slid his arm around me and held me against him. He was allowing me in. It was all that I wanted.

We rode the elevator up to the floor and walked into the dark apartment. He turned on one light, then lit a lamp in the living room, leaving most of the area in shadow. Dark as his mood. He stood in the centre of the room, unsure of what to do next. I hung my jacket and came up behind him, wrapping my arms around his waist and letting my forehead press into his shoulder blade. He pulled my arms tighter around him and stood still a very long time. The moment was broken by the chime of my cell. Jin released me and I went to check it. It was a FaceTime request. I took it by the door.

"Hi Mom!" Éowynn was flushed and excited. "We are having so much fun! They have the best rides here! Cher and Jimin are on the bumper cars and Brigette took J Hope on a rollercoaster and he threw up! It was SOOO funny!" Atticus pushed into the screen, his face painted like SpiderMan. Another SpiderMan faced loomed over his shoulder. V.

"Hi!" The boy greeted me. "Look! We match!" I had to laugh. Brigette was pushing into the screen from beneath her brother.

"Momma! Hoseok-Nim threw up on the big roller coaster!"

"I heard." She giggled and the phone swung back to Éowynn.

"We are heading to the bungee slingshot now. I think only Jungkook is going." She turned the phone to show Kookie, grinning, a huge cotton candy in one hand, an iced drink in the other. "Then we are going somewhere for supper and then to fireworks!"

"So everyone is good?"She nodded vigorously. "Namjoon-Nim wants to talk to you." The phone was passed, giving me a dizzying view of blurred colours. RMs' wide face came onscreen. He was smiling, his adorable dimples pinching both cheeks.

"Telly-Ah. Hello."

"Sounds like you are all having fun."

"We are. How are things going there?" I sobered.

"Jin-Nim is having a rough night. He had some bad news. I am going to stay with him here, if that is okay with you guys."

"Absolutely. Tell him his brothers are here if he needs us. We are all fine. Don't worry at all."

"Thank you, Namjoon-Nim." He smiled, gave a nod, and the camera clicked off. I shut the ringer off and tucked the cell into my jacket hanging on a hook. Jin hadn't hung his. I went over to him, unzipped his coat and slid it off his shoulders. He was unresisting. When I returned, he hadn't moved. I lifted the remote from the end table and flicked on the music. I flipped through several channels before finding a soft one that was soothing. Setting the remote, I strode back to the white skinned man so still that his ebony locks looked carved of stone. His red rimmed eyes were vacant, viewing something far away. I had only his body. His soul was long distant. I gave him a front hug, squeezing tight, listening to his fluttering heart beat through my cheek.

"Your brothers love you, Jin. Namjoon said to remind you of that. I love you, too. Please tell me what you need from me." His pupils dropped to mine. I could see the stirrings of thought pulling him back to the present.
