JinYoungs' parents were overly accommodating about their sons' potential concussion at the hands of my girl. They seemed almost proud of his courage under fire and praised Cher for her confidence as well. Cher dutifully rounded up her siblings and I waved at her to meet me at the door. JinYoung was still undeterred in his passions and came through the crowd to get hugs and compliments from his parents. I insisted on inspecting the goose egg on his temple and took the opportunity to plead with him to let the matter be.

"She is not interested, JinYoung. Please give it up."

"I want a woman with fire. Cher has plenty of fire." His eyes were sparkling. Had she knocked him senseless?

"She will burn you up." His dark eyes came to meet mine. He grinned.

"I look forward to it." I gave up. This kid was beyond redemption. His mom beamed at me.

"Our boy knows to always go for what he wants. Reach for your dreams, JinYoung! You are a star!"

I sighed. Now I knew where the fuel for this foolishness was coming from. I shook the youths' hand.

"Good luck in all of your endeavours, JinYoung. You will make a fine idol."

Hugs were given all around and I collected my brood and headed home.

Everything was squared away in preparation for our extended absence. We were waiting for Mark to come collect Coco. When he did not arrive, I texted him. He replied that he was tied up and would be awhile yet. We had to meet the Kims at Jins' soon. I asked Mark if we could reschedule the pickup at the new location. He agreed, and we headed to the other apartment, dogs in tow.

As we rode in the car, I worried about Jin. I had only had texts from him that were quick updates. Not a word on the fallout about Bang PD-Nim. "Please be okay..." One of my first priorities had been to carefully avoid causing any stress with his career. An ARMY myself, I knew what a treasure Jin was. I had zero intention of being the cause of any scandal or loss of fans. I could only assume that he would tell me what the consequences were when they came.

Entering the building was to enter a whole other life. The glamorous entrance only hinted to the luxury within. The gym and pool were going to be well used by us in the next few weeks. I planned to tone my body as much as possible before my man came home. Upstairs, we set away our things and set to chopping vegetables for our bulgogi supper. It was my hope that a traditional Korean meal would be most welcoming to Jins' Halmoni on her first night with us. We prepped large portions so that the Kims could be invited as well. At 4 o'clock, Mark texted. He was on his way and very excited to collect his fur baby. Gathering up the dogs'  miscellaneous items, and Coco herself, I headed down to the lobby to meet him. This apartment was not mine and I felt it would be wrong of me to entertain guests there.

Mark pulled up in a silver car and strode into the lobby with the self-assuredness that only idols could generate.

"Coco!" I set the little fur ball down and watched her joyfully bound across the marble in white blurred leaps. She pounced on him, tail furiously wagging, tongue lapping at his chin. Mark was laughing. "She looks great! How are you, girl? Did you have fun?" He wrestled with the squirming beast in his arms. I waited a few minutes, chatting with Mark while Coco calmed herself.

"She has a new trick to show you." He set Coco down on the floor and I pulled a treat from my pocket to demonstrate. "Bang!" I pointed a finger pistol at her and pretended to shoot. Coco fell over obediently and feigned unconsciousness. Mark was delighted. He pulled an envelope from his pocket and passed it to me.

"It is all there." He flashed his wide grin. "Thank you so much."

"I will give it to the kids. It was our pleasure. We will watch her for you anytime." He bowed to me and scooped up his beast to head out.
