"A cheese pizza and two waters." Nash ordered the guy behind the counter.
It was around 3pm and we'd been riding rides since 11am. We were now at a pizza place getting ready to eat lunch.
The couple hours at the amusement park were exhilarating and went by fast. But after awhile of free falling i got hungry so now we were here.
I found a booth as Nash carried the trays over to the table. We sat across from each other and dished out the pizza.
I thought about romance movies as i ate in silence. Why did the girl character seem to be shy when eating in front of guys? it was just like eating in front of anyone else.
I shrugged to myself and took a big bite of the cheesy pizza. Nash's attention was focused on devouring the food, but once he swallowed down two pieces he looked at me.
"Good day so far?"
I nodded. I was not about to talk with my mouth full so Nash could think I was some scum.
His eyes were soft and full of wonder. It was kind of awkward how he would just stare at me, not breaking eye contact. Eventually I became too uncomfortable and looked at the floor.
"What are you thinking about?" His voice interrupted my thoughts.
"Eye contact and romance movies." I admitted.
"Eye contact and romance movies?"
"Yeah, you're good at keeping eye contact. Even past the point of awkwardness." I giggled and continued my explanation, "And in romance movies the girl is always afraid to eat in front of the guy. I just don't understand it. They eat too, so why starve yourself?"
He chuckled and stood from the booth, offering his hand out to me. I took it and we walked, hand in hand, to the front to pay.
After Nash handed the lady behind the counter a generously large tip, he picked up our leftovers and walked to the parking lot. Even though Nash had picked me up in a cab, he had a fairly nice car. By fairly nice, I mean the most expensive car I've ever laid eyes on.
Actually, the Ferrari LaFerrari was the most expensive car in the world. I can remember guys at work talking about it. Apparently the car is 1.3 million dollars and you can't order it anywhere. The company itself has to offer it to you. And only really important people get offered this car.
The car door lifted upward to allow me to slide in. Nash closed it as soon as I was buckled and was in his seat by the time I looked up.
"Ready to explore the deep blue sea?" He had a goofy grin on his face and I couldn't help but get lost in his bright blue eyes.
After a moment I realized he asked me a question and i nodded eagerly. The car sped off onto the road and charged down the street. My knuckles were nearly white from gripping the door handle, while i prayed the car wouldn't flip.
Since the world was so poor, most people walked or biked to their destination. That means the streets were almost always empty.
Henceforth, allowing Nash to 'burn rubber'. The large grin on his face told me that he loved the rush and being in control.
After ten minutes of horrific driving, Nash slowed and pulled into the aquarium parking lot. The whole building was an aqua blue glass. Painted fish and other sea creatures littered the glass.
At the gates, Nash handed the woman our tickets and we went through the huge glass doors. The first area of the aquarium was a playground for children. Small tanks were scattered around the large room filled with fish that reminded me of 'Finding Nemo'.
