After five hours of scanning, counting, and bagging I finally ended my shift. I grabbed my coat from the back and made my way to the door to help close up. It was 10pm so it was pitch black outside.

"Thank you so much Verona! Take the weekend off!" Ricky waved me off and I smiled back at him.

"Thank you!" I replied and walked out of the store.

The cold air blew in my face and I pulled my coat closer around me. I looked for a taxi, but the streets were oddly empty. The wind blew violently and i thought about asking Ricky for a ride home.

Just as I turned around to talk to Ricky, I heard an engine roar behind me. I knew who it was before I turned around. Only one car could make a sound that powerful.

"Please let me take you home." Nash begged from inside the Ferrari.

I was frozen. Had he stalked me? Followed me to work? Shouldn't he be doing something important?

I took another step towards Miã. The lights were already off inside, meaning Ricky had already left through the back. My brain searched for what i should do. It was too dangerous to walk home and there wasn't a taxi in sight.

Reluctantly, I turned around and got into the sports car. The door closed down behind me; locking into place. I took in a nervous breath.

We drove in silence for awhile. I stared out the window, but nothing looked familiar in the dark.

As the minutes went by i realized something. We started going further away from the city. Then I noticed we weren't going in the direction of my apartment.

"Nash, where are you taking me?" I asked frightened.

He briefly looked over at me, but averted his eyes back to the dark, snowy road. His lips remained pressed together. I continued to stare at him.

"Na-"

"I want to show you something." Nash, finally, answered.

My eyebrows furrowed together as i thought in confusion. Then i realized that I wasn't going back to my apartment anytime soon.

"You said you'd take me to my apartment. You lied... again." My voice was colder than the temperature outside the car.

"You'll like it." He promised.

"I doubt it."

"Give me a chance, Verona! Open your mind a little and try to let me in! I gave you a lot of space these past three months!" His voice boomed through the car as we sped down the road.

"Give you a chance? Didn't we already try that? By the way, next time you wanna give me 'space' don't send Matthew to threaten me!" I bursted out. Anger fueled my words.

"He told me. I got very upset with him. But i understand why he did it." Nash explained; avoiding my comment about his lies.

I puffed out some angry breaths, while i searched for something to reply with.

"You understand why he threatened my life?! It's okay that he pretty much broke into my house?" I was no longer screaming at him. Instead I looked out the window and kept my voice calm and quiet.

Nash didn't reply immediately. My guess was he was trying to think of an excuse. After a short while in silence he sighed.

"I'm sorry. I just don't understand..." He looked like he wanted to continue, but didnt.

"What don't you understand? Why I don't like your EVIL kind? Do you not understand why I don't want to be with you?" I threw up my hands in frustration.
