Tease 22

I was looking down at my sister's cold coffin. I lost her. When i was supposed to see her at home, nakita ko na lamang siyang nakabulagta sa sahig at wala ng kabuhay-buhay.

Napuno ang luha ko ng mga oras na yun. I just lost my sister. I lost the guy whom i love and now i lost her too. My poor Annette. Mabait naman siyang kapatid eh. She was so supportive. Too hardworking and a smart young lady. Bakit kailangan niyang sapitin 'to?

She did not die because of disease but because someone killed her. Galit na galit ako. I don't know who killed her. And if i found out who's the killer, I'll probably in prison as well. Dahil talagang mapapatay ko siya.

I saw a handkerchief given to me by Ariel. His eyes were swollen as well. Sobrang sakit rin siguro para sa kaniya. Afterall, I'm not insensitive. I know that he had feelings for my sister. Sadyang ayaw ko lang talaga siyang maging mas malapit pa rito dahil na rin sa uri ng trabaho niya.

"I'm sorry, Ann," he said.

I took the handkerchief and used it. "Bakit ka naman nagsosorry? It's not your fault that she's dead. Why, did you kill her yourself? "

"Hindi. Pero kung sana mas naging protective ako sa kaniya. Hindi sana siya magkakaganito. Hindi niya dapat nakilala si-- damn that bastard! " he said and gritted his teeth.

Kumunot ang noo ko. "Who's that bastard? May alam ka bang hindi ko nalalaman, Ariel? " Sinong hindi sana niya nakilala? Does that have something to do with my sister's death.

"It's nothing. Wag mo muna isipin yun. "

I raised an eyebrow. "Don't give that line. Who's he, Ariel? "

"Buntis ka. Hindi ka pwedeng ma-stress," he insisted.

I rolled my eyes. "I'm already stressed because of my baby's father. Having another stress isn't gonna affect me any more. So spill it," mariin kong sabi.

He sighed. "Your sister was... having an affair with someone dangerous before. She got swayed by the bastard. Nagkaron sila ng sikretong relasyon."

"No... Walang sinasabi sa 'kin si-"

"Dahil natatakot siya sa 'yo. "

"Kung totoong natatakot siya sa 'kin, hindi dapat siya nakipagrelasyon! Ang bata niya pa," my temper was getting high.

"Huminahon ka, Ann. Higit pa diyan ang sasabihin ko. Sigurado ka bang gusto mo pang ituloy? Dito pa lang, naii-stress ka na eh."

I sighed deeply. "Fine. Continue. "

He cleared his throat. "That guy isn't really the guy she know. The guy have so many women in his sleeves. Sa tingin ko, nalaman yun ni Annette kaya sinubukan niyang makipaghiwalay dito. But the guy didn't let her. So he killed her instead so no one could ever get Annette even him. "

"You sounded like a writer. Pinagloloko mo ba ko, Ariel? At pano mo naman nalaman yan? " taas kilay kong sabi.

"Because... He's my brother, Ann. "

That blasted my mind. My face became serious. And just in instance, nailabas ko na ang aking baril at itinutok sa ulo niya.
