Tease 28

I was feeding my baby while conversing with his Aunt, Merrianne. Kung anong saya ng mukha ng anak ko, yun naman ang kinabusangot ng tita niya. She is obviously throwing a tantrums on me. Ghad.

"Merri, ang panget  mo na," I said trying to stop her from sulking like a kid.

She pouted and rub her head. Opx. Nagkakakuto na yata 'to.

"How couldn't I? Nasisira ng kaibigan niyo yung buhay ko. Nananahimik na 'ko, Atih. I'm even happy on my life. Pero sinisira niya pa rin yung maganda kong araw. "

"Happy on your life? Masaya ka ba talaga o nagpi-feeling happy? " i questioned her and give my son another spoonful to his mouth. Buti pa tong baby ko, walang kaproble-problema. Dito na talaga pumapasok yung linyang 'Sana ol'.

"I am happy. I know, ang drama ko dati. Halos maglupasay na nga ko dati 'di ba? Pero I've learned now how to accept my life. Ayoko na ng buhay na lagi ako yung nagmamahal. Sawang-sawa na ko. " nakatulala siya sa kawalan habang nagsasalita. Maybe, she's really learning from the pain. I remembered myself on her before. Tss. One word to describe us, pathetic.

"That's fair enough," I said and took my son to the sofa and let him watch baby tv.

"Baby! " he exclaimed and tried to went close to the tv but i hel his arms.

"Baby? What did Mommy tell you before? " I asked.

Tumingin ito sa kisame at mujhang nag-isip. "Never be so close in front of the TV? "

"And? "

"Ahm... And.... " he giggled and hug me. "Sorry po. " he said made his puppy look.

Natawa naman ako sa kabibuhan niya. The next part was supposed to be 'because it could hurt your eyes',  but i guess my baby is still hard to say such words.

He continued watching TV. And i am watching as well. Not the TV but watching him. I never wanted to leave my sight on him. At his age, he was quite curious about everything. And I'm afraid the he might hurt himself while learning such things.

And i hope that his curiosity won't lead next to him questioning who his father is. Because i don't know if i should lie to him or tell him the fact which i know he won't understand.

"Atih! "

I rolled my eyes from irritation on Merri's voice. Here we go again. I'm gonna hear her 'hinaings' all over again.

I messed up my hair so badly when i heard the doorbell rang. Who could be in this late night would press the doorbell and disturb my beauty sleep? Damn! Kainis mutz ah.

Bumaba ako at papungas-pungas pa ang mga mata na pumunta sa pinto. I was about to see who's the uninvited visitor.

"Ate! "

"Ay baklang nakapanty! " i exclaimed when Merri held my arm like a scaredy cat.

"Ano ba, Merri! Gabing gabi na. Bakit ka ba nanggugulat? Nampa-prank ka ba? Dinamay mo pa yung doorbell. " inis kong sabi sa kaniya at napakamot ng ulo. Naman eh. Ang ganda na ng tulog ko eh.

"Ate wag mo muna buksan. Baka mumu yan. Saka hindi ako nampa-prank no! Pano ko makakapaglaro ng doorbell, eh nasa labas yung doorbell. Nandito kaya ako sa loob. "

Napaisip naman ako. "Oo nga no? " i just shrugged from Merri's overacting. "Ah basta, tingnan na lang natin. "

"Ate wag! Baka multo! Ate! " pag-eeskandalosa pa niya.

Sinapok ko siya at napa-aray naman ang gaga. "Tigilan mo nga ako, Merrianne! May camera tau sa labas ng pinto, makikita natin kung sino yung nasa labas nang hindi binubuksan yung pinto, okay? "

Dun naman siya nakahinga ng maluwag. I smiled creepy while touching the button. "Pero kapag wala tayong makita, ibig sabihin, tama ka," I said and earned a shout from Merri.

"Atih!! "

Before she could stop me, napindot ko na yung button. My mouth hanged open. Oh my...

"Ate? Nanigas ka? Mumu nga 'yung nasa labas?! " Merri ask while her eyes were covered by her hand.

I just wished it was a ghost instead. Or not? Matatakutin nga rin pala ako. Pero ayoko naman siyang makita. So mas okay yung multo? Ah ewan!

"Huy, ate! " Merri now had taken her hand off her eyes. Tumingin rin siya sa screen at gaya ko, nalaglag din ang mga panga.

"Si Ervin!!! " she squeal.

Yep. I just feel like i wanna hide somewhere far away. Bakit ba kasi ako bumalik dito!?

"Ikaw ang lumabas, Merri. Talk to him. Huwag na huwag ka lang madudulas na nandito kami ng anak ko. Tell him everything but never include me and my baby on your answers. Are we clear? " seryoso kong sabi. I could already feel legs weakening from his sudden visit.

Tumango lang si Merri sa akin kaya't pumunta kaagad ako sa kwarto ng anak ko para buhatin siya. Thankfully, my son is a heavy sleeper kaya ni hindi man lang siya naalimpungatan nang buhatin ko siya. I locked his room and look at Merri giving her a sign to open the door in count of three.

Pumasok kami sa kwarto ko. I searched for my favorite book on the book shelf. Agad kong iniurong iyon at saka lumabas ang secret passage ng kwarto ko. I went downstairs with my son on my arms. The passage instantly closed when i got in.

No one knows this secret passage. Maybe except the one who made it but I'm sure he won't tell a soul for i paid him a very nice price. And if ever he would tell that to anyone, no one couldn't find how to find it for i am the only one required to open it. The book i had move has fingerprint scanner. They can't open it, unless they kill me and use my finger. That won't ever happen.

Ibinaba ko ang anak ko sa couch at paikot-ikot na naglalakad. What could be Ervin doing at this time? Why is he here? Sino sa mga kaibigan ko ang nagsabi ng address ko?! I will strangle that person for sure.

I just hope that Merri are saying the right words to him. Huwag lang talaga siyang madudulas kundi puputulin ko talaga yung dila niya. I swear!
