~Chapter 4: Elders~
Turtlekit watched Pebblepaw go with admiration in her eyes. She was brought back to reality by Falconkit, who said in her ear, "Come on Turtlekit! We're going to the elder's den!" She squealed in excitment and caught up with Otterkit, who was already heading over.

"Ah, hellow young kits." Adderfur rasped. Owlwind looked up from his mouse and smiled. Cloudspot limped over to them. "Welcome. I'm Cloudspot, this is Adderfur, and this is Owlwind." She greeted the three, slowly dipping her head. They dipped their heads to the elder too, smiling. "Nice to meet you!" Otterkit squeaked. Turtlekit stepped in front of her siblings. "I'm Turtlekit." she said, looking up at Cloudspot. Falconkit tackled her. "I'm Falconkit!" he squeaked, climbing over her to the front. "And I'm Otterkit!" Otterkit squealed from the back of the group, not daring to fight Falconkit. Adderfur chuckled. "I may be blind but I can practically see you three." she coughed, blinking her sightless eyes at them.

Owlwind stared at Falconkit, studying him. Falconkit noticed this and looked downwards, refusing to meet Owlwind's eyes. Owlwind smiled. "You strongly resemble your father, young kit. I was his mentor you know." he said. Falconkit looked up and smiled.

"Would you like to hear a story, youngsters?" Adderfur rasped, facing the kits. Otterkit noded excitedly, squealing. "Alright then." Adderfur said, turning to Cloudspot, "What's a good story Cloudspot?" Cloudspot smiled. "What about the story of Thrushflight?" she rasped. Adderfur nodded. "A good story." she rasped, "Thrushflight saved Windclan from a flood. One leafbare it rained like no other. The banks on the river overflowed. Back then Windclan camp was lower, not on a hill like it is now. We lost many cats in that flood, but without Thrushflight's bravery, we would have all been gone." Addeerfur sighed in admiration. "Somday I'm sure you will save Windclan too, kits." Owlwind coughed, smiling at them.
