Inside Jay's study, Andrew, Dev, Emanuel, and Tanya were gathered around. Elina was upstairs tending to Isabel, while Leah watched over the kids downstairs. The room buzzed with quiet urgency until Holden entered, flanked by two of his assistants.

"Aria's parents died in a car accident," Holden began, setting down a file. "The police suspected sabotage, but the case was closed due to lack of evidence. I contacted the officer who handled it. Turns out, he was Aria's father's close friend."

"Let me guess," Dev cut in. "She thinks Jay's family had something to do with it, and now she wants revenge?"

Jay's jaw tightened, his hands curling into fists.

"No," Holden said calmly. "That's not it."

"Then what?" Andrew asked.

"The detective told me he suspects Aria herself killed her parents."

The room went dead silent.

"What the hell?" Emanuel muttered, stunned.

"He said there wasn't enough proof to charge her, but he's convinced she was responsible. She's apparently very skilled at masking her emotions and manipulating others to sympathize with her."

Tanya frowned. "That actually fits. Leah said she found Aria passed out at her doorstep, claiming she desperately needed a job to support her family."

"Which means she used Leah to get into this house," Jay growled. "She probably knew who I was... who I was close to. She planned this."

"But why kill her own parents, then sneak into our lives?" Andrew asked, confused.

Holden flipped through a page in his folder, his expression grim. "The officer said her parents weren't abusive. But Aria's father had confided once—he was deeply worried about her behavior. Said she'd been... unwell for a long time."

Jay narrowed his eyes. "What kind of behavior?"

Holden looked up. "He once caught her torturing their family dog. She was close to this one girl she met. Just because it barked at her friend,  The poor thing had a broken leg and burn marks when they found it. Her father wanted to get her professional help... but Aria lashed out, threatened him."

Everyone in the room stiffened in horror.

Dev leaned back, face pale. "Jesus... that's not just messed up—that's sick."

Holden nodded. "It gets worse. When her father brought up sending her to a therapist—or boarding school—she told him outright: 'I'll kill anyone who tries to hurt my friend!'"

"Ugh. Gross," Dev muttered.

"That's when her father decided to send her to boarding school. Aria apparently threatened him—said she'd kill anyone who tried to separate her from her friend."

Dev's eyes widened. "Wait... if she's into girls, are you saying... she's obsessed with Jessy? She thinks Jessy as her close friend? Is that why she kidnapped her?"

"It's possible," Jay said grimly. "She may have seen Jessy as hers, and tried to scare her away from me."

Holden nodded. "Exactly."

Dev looked thoughtful. "Still... we don't know how she got Jessy out of the house. It's like she knew exactly where Jessy was and when to act. We didn't even notice her slip away—we were all busy setting up the barbecue."

Jay's eyes narrowed. "What did you just say?"

"Huh?" Dev blinked. "That we don't know how she pulled it off? That she knew Jessy was upstairs?"

Jay stood up. His face shifted—tense, focused.

"Everyone out. Holden, stay."

The room fell silent again. Though confused, the others followed orders and exited without question.

Holden leaned forward. "Mr. Erickson... is something wrong?"

"Yes," Jay replied. "I need you to look into something. Or more specifically... someone."

Meanwhile...

Jessy's arms felt like lead. They were beyond numb—useless, bound too long. She'd lost count of the hours. No food. No water. Two full days.

A harsh slap on her cheek jolted her slightly.

"Wake up, you stubborn bitch," Aria snapped, tapping her face again.

Jessy didn't respond.

Aria frowned and slowly dragged a blade across Jessy's side, just deep enough to make her groan.

"P...please," Jessy whimpered, her voice barely audible. "D...don't..."

Tears slid down her cheeks. She didn't dare mention her pregnancy—Aria would only be more brutal if she knew.

"There she is," Aria cooed mockingly, cupping her face. "Eat this. I don't want you dying yet. You've got a month of hell ahead of you."

She shoved cold rice into Jessy's mouth, but Jessy spat it out, coughing weakly.

"You little—" Aria's slap cracked across her cheek.

"Jeez, babe... enough," came a voice from the doorway. "Don't kill her."

"As you say, princess." Aria smirked and sauntered out.

Later...

"Jessy..."

The voice was soft, familiar. Jessy blinked slowly, her vision hazy. A figure leaned over her.

"P...please... l-let me go..."

Arms wrapped around her.

"It's okay. I'm here now."

Jessy sobbed. "T-Tanya..."

Tanya quickly cut the ropes binding her.

"I've got you," she whispered, hugging her tightly.

Before Jessy could catch her breath, a new voice echoed from the shadows.

"Well, well... look who decided to play hero."

Tanya spun around.

"You bloodsucking bitch!" she hissed.

From the shadows, Isabel stepped forward, smirking. Aria followed behind her, grinning maliciously.

"I knew you were following me," Isabel said with a mocking smile. "Guess I'll have to kill you now."

She pulled out a gun.

Tanya shoved Jessy behind her. "I knew it was you. I've suspected from the start."

"Shut up!" Isabel snarled—and pulled the trigger.

The bullet hit Tanya in the shoulder. She dropped with a cry.

"Tanya!" Jessy dropped beside her, clutching her in panic. "No—Tanya!"

"I'm... okay..." Tanya groaned, though her face was twisted in pain.

Isabel tilted her head. "Damn. Missed the heart."

She raised the gun again.
