When I woke up, Jay and Julissa were nowhere in sight. But on the nightstand, there was a warm cup of coffee, a plate of pancakes... and a folded note.

''Miss Booby.... Eat this and make your B**** bigger, sexy *wink''

I rolled my eyes, laughing under my breath.

Damn this guy... total pervert.

Jay Erickson was crazy—there was no doubt about that. And I loved him with every piece of my chaotic heart.

After a relaxing bath, I walked downstairs and found Emanuel sitting alone in the living room, staring into nothing.

"Hey," I greeted softly. "Good morning."

He turned to me and offered a tired smile. "Morning, Jessy."

"Where's Tanya?"

"In her room," he replied. "Said she wants to be alone."

I sat beside him. His shoulders were heavy with concern.

"You're worried about her, aren't you?" I asked gently.

He nodded, sighing deeply. "Yeah... the Tanya I knew was so kind, so full of life. But over the years... she changed. I've loved her since we were young, but sometimes love just hurts, doesn't it?"

I looked at him, thinking. "No," I said with a small smile. "I used to question love too, wondering what it really meant. But I've come to learn something—people confuse love with possession. There's nothing wrong with wanting to protect the one you love. But when love turns into control, into obsession... when you try to own someone, even to the point of destroying others, that's not love. That's fear. That's selfishness."

Emanuel remained quiet, his eyes turning distant.

"I think Tanya knows that too," I continued softly. "That's why she can't forgive herself. She's drowning in guilt. But she's not beyond saving. I'll talk to her. Don't worry."

He looked at me with gratitude in his eyes. "Jessy... why are you helping us? After everything we've done to you? I didn't speak up back then, when Aria spread those lies. If I had, maybe you and Jay wouldn't have—"

"No, Emanuel," I interrupted. "You're wrong. Even if you'd spoken out, Jay wouldn't have believed you back then. He would've thought we were trying to manipulate him. The truth is, I did suffer. But it was worth it. Because now, after five painful years, Jay finally knows who I am. He believes in me. That's love."

He looked down, ashamed.

"You stayed silent not because you were a coward, but because you were scared—scared for Tanya's life. And I understand. Aria was dangerous. You did what you thought was right at the time. And you did come forward now. That means something. The weight I've carried for years... it's lighter now. So thank you."

His eyes filled with emotion. "Thank you, Jessy."

I nodded and gave him a gentle smile. After a quiet moment, I stood up. "I'm going to see her."
