JESSY POV

It was hell. For two days, I couldn't breathe normally. Every part of my body ached, bruised and battered. I felt like I was going to die. All I wished for was to see Jay one last time.

"Jessy, I'm sorry... I let you suffer. Can you hear me? I miss you so much," his voice cracked, thick with emotion. I could feel the warmth of his hands wrapped around mine. "God, I've been such a fool... I should've listened to you back then. I don't know what to do anymore. I don't even know who to trust. Please... please wake up... I—I'm so sorry..."

Hearing his voice—so broken and raw—I fought to open my eyes. Slowly, my vision blurred into shape. There he was, his head bowed, tears silently falling. My heart clenched. Jay looked so fragile, so lost. With the strength I could muster, I reached out and stroked his hair.

He looked up, eyes widening in disbelief. "Jessy?" He kissed my knuckles, tears still flowing down his face.

"Jay... look at me..." I whispered weakly. His gaze locked onto mine. "I love you," I said, with all the sincerity in my heart. "I love you so much. I don't care about anything else—only you. Please, don't blame yourself. This isn't your fault..."

"I love you too, Jessy." He leaned in and kissed my forehead gently.

I smiled through the pain. "J-Jay... how's our... baby?"

"He's safe... thank God." He took a deep breath, his voice thick with relief. "You didn't wake up at all yesterday. I was so scared. I can't afford to lose you."

"You won't, Jay... I promise. I'll never leave you," I assured him.

"Mommy!" Julissa ran into the room and climbed up on the bed with Jay's help. He supported me carefully as I sat up.

"I missed you, Mom... Are you okay?" she asked, tears pooling in her eyes.

"I'm fine, sweetheart... I missed you too," I whispered, holding her close.

Then it hit me—Tanya. The image of her getting shot flashed in my mind. "Oh my God, Jay! What about Tanya? Is she okay?"

"She's safe," he nodded, and I let out a breath of relief.

Thank God...

Oddly, I felt a strange peace knowing Isabel and Aria were no longer alive. They had been cruel—twisted enough to kill without hesitation. I later learned Tanya had always suspected Isabel but ignored her instincts, thinking she was just being paranoid. It wasn't until she saw Isabel sneaking out of Jay's house that she decided to follow her—and that's how she ended up saving me.

"Thank you, Tanya... I owe you my life," I told her when I visited her in her hospital room.

"No, Jessy... I owe you mine. Thank you," she said with a warm smile.

I nodded, deeply relieved. Both of us were discharged a few days later. Emanuel had been taking such good care of her, and honestly, it looked like Tanya had fallen for him. I was happy for them. They deserved happiness.

"Ready?" Mr. Holden asked me, standing by my side.

"Yes, sir," I said, smiling as I took his arm.

Today was my wedding day. Jay refused to postpone it. He wanted to marry me just one week after I was discharged from the hospital. Mr. Watt and Adrian were among the happiest for me. To my surprise, Jay had even invited my parents—without telling me. I was furious at first, but he gently persuaded me to forgive them.

"They're still your parents," he said, "even if they failed you when you needed them most."

Mom broke down and apologized. Seeing her tears melted the part of me that had been hardened for years. So, I forgave her. For the ceremony, I'd asked Mr. Holden to walk me down the aisle. After everything, he was the closest thing to a father I had.

"Jessy Jenkins, do you accept Jay Erickson as your husband, and promise to stay by his side through all of life's highs and lows?" the officiant asked.

I turned to Jay and smiled. "I do."

"And Jay Erickson, do you accept Jessy Jenkins as your wife, and promise to stay by her side through all of life's highs and lows?"

Jay looked at me, eyes filled with love. "I do."

"You may kiss your bride."

Jay gently cupped my cheeks and kissed me. "I love you," he whispered between kisses.

I smiled, kissing him back as the room erupted in applause.

"Daddy!" Julissa squealed, hugging him tightly.

A perfect family.

That's what we were now. After all the pain, the heartbreak, and the chaos, we found each other. We loved each other sincerely. Jay had finally hired a new personal assistant—and yes, I was the one who picked her. She was a kind, older woman. So, I could rest easy and, finally, be free of jealousy.
