I was more than furious, my chest was ready to collapse from anger in more ways than I could possibly think of; Zayn sat there in shock until his eyes landed on the ring in my hands, that was occupied with my handy magazine cover.

"What the hell is this, Zayn?" I asked, holding it up so he could get a better look at it. But he knew damn well what it was, the damn picture was exploited of the original cut.

He sat there looking at me before turning to the person on the phone, telling them he had to go for a moment. Before scribbling down some information on a notepad, then hanging up on the phone.

The quiet room causing me to get angrier before I walked forward and slamming it down on his desk, Zayn did nothing but look at with a knowing look until he turned back to me. I attempted to calm myself, trying to find a reasonable explanation of them both lying and making me look like a damn fool.

"And what exactly was I supposed to say?" His voice sultry and deep, looking at me with a heated look on his face that remained indescribable. "The moment I returned it was like you already made up your mind about me, not wanting to be together and this guy who made you forget my presence."

"Oh, so it's my fault?" I laughed before shaking my head, not being able to process on how to wrap my head around this. Running my hands through each strand of my hair, while thinking of all the times Caleb had ran with this scenario. "God, this is so damn crazy."

He pushed back in the chair as I walked around his office, trying to think clearly before I felt his arms wrap around my waist, supportively. My mouth opened to ask what as he doing until he picked me up, sitting down on the couch with me perched up on his lap.

"Listen to me." Zayn gripped my chin, turning my head to make me look at him. "I know that you're in shock, but you need to calm down. Before you make yourself ill again, you're making me worried."

Although he was right, I couldn't seem to stop thinking about everything that was making me very moody. My anger shouldn't be with him, it wasn't his fault at all. The only person that deserved to be questioned was on his way, and I needed to hear everything in order to figure out why he would do this.

"Why'd you lie for him?" I whispered in defeat, before looking at him directly.

Zayn's eyebrows furrowed as he looked at me while scoffing lowly, before adjusting me while using his hand to push the hair off my face. We had been so confident on trying to talk with each other, I don't see why he would follow through with Caleb's antics.

He practically allowed some other guy to take all of the credit for his gift, somethin that had been thought out and incredibly expensive. I almost felt bad for putting Zayn through any of that, he didn't just encounter me basically with another guy. But also wearing the ring he bought for me, and think it was from the same guy.
