The day passed by faster than I had wanted it too, as I spent most of the daylight inside of Vincent's hospital room. Both of us talking about a plan on how to break him out, since he wanted to come to the party so bad.

None of it being enough time as the nurse got fed up with our nonsense, telling me in a rough manner that visiting hours were over. I leaned down giving him a hug, while he attempted to convince the nurse we had been siblings that were separated at birth. And she was breaking rules of keeping family away from each other, I giggled before telling him to behave as I finally left the room.

Feeling a lot better than I had arrived.

My drive back to Jersey was long and harsh as traffic picked up, obviously being the epitome of the afternoon rush hour. The sun being set in the horizon as soon as I made it near Zayn's E-state, parking his car in the garage before noticing that he wasn't exactly back yet from whatever he had planned in town.

The house reluctantly quiet for the first time in ages, which meant that most of them had stepped out for a great portion of the day. Only a couple of guards being around, while N'dra stayed behind to keep up with some business that needed to be done at home.

I walked past Zayn's office to see her sitting at the desk, typing away on the laptop before looking at me. She watched me for a couple of seconds, pausing as if she wanted to say something, shaking it off and then continuing with her work.

With an ounce of courage, I walked into the room before sitting down on the couch near the far corner. She didn't acknowledge me while continuing to type away on the laptop, before I rested near on the couch for her to finish.

"God." The clicking of the keyboard stopped, her eyes focused on me. "What do you want?"

A laugh blew out of me, before I made sure to get comfortable. The gesture had been so small that I didn't think she'd care, yet, apparently I was being distracting without doing much.

"I can't sit in here with you?" I asked.

"Nope." The dead pan of her expression almost made me laugh aloud, before shaking her head at me in a dull matter. "So, I'm gonna ask you one last time, what do you want?" She asked.

The clock hanging on the wall clicked a couple of times, the little hand finally whooshing past twelve. I grew nervous with my request, while knowing that she'd tell me no and walk off.

"Uh," I hesitated, shrugging. "Nothing."

My cowardliness made me roll my eyes, before kicking myself inwardly. She was just like any regular person, being someone who probably hated everything about me as a person. But we needed to get over it, obviously the both of us weren't going anywhere.

"I'm leaving." N'dra closed the laptop rather quickly, pulling back on the chair and holding it to her chest. "You can sit here, alone." She clarified.
