The process began for the first session of the hearing, which I had been extremely nervous about considering the fact Harry was the first person up for questioning.

After going over the legal factions of the case, and explaining to people among the jury and public why everyone was here today.

Erica held onto my hand tightly, while leaning into my side as the lawyers began interrogating him. The plaintiff not hesitating to get right to the difficult questions, some of them made me hold my breath as he asked them. But this is why I came today.

"And you actually believe that someone like Zayn Malik would accidentally ram a car off the side of a bridge?" The lawyer asked him in a loud voice, making sure everyone was able to hear him. "Because not only did it effect just one single car. Multiple people suffered just as much, thankfully not getting what he had really intended for Richard and Carly Brown."

All of the people grew quiet as Harry processed that question, his eyes flickering up to me right in the middle of all this. He didn't want to lie.

But I knew that he'd also do anything to make sure Zayn was protected, the both of them are like brothers. Harry would never betray him. I  could never put anyone in that position, which is why I decided to look down as he answered.

"Yes." Harry said in a deep voice, not taking his eyes off me. "A lot of people have to deal with car trouble, he shouldn't be punished for that."

My chest expanded as I took a deep breath, as Erica rubbed my back softly. This was a thing I knew would happen, but it still didn't hurt any less. Because all of us knew the actual truth.

But having to admit to anything would be crucial to his arrest, which is why some looked to me for the answer.

"That is true." The lawyer nodded at Harry's answer, turning around to lean against his very own table. "But you don't find it weird that his car backed up, just before proceeding for yet, another hit to Mr. Brown's car?"

Everyone in the crowd began to stir at the heap of his bravery for mentioning what was happening, I could feel Zayn eyes on me once again for what felt like the eighth time in that minute.

But after we reminisced, it was better to just keep focused on why I'm here and what needed to be done.

I couldn't lie and say that it's not hard, because this felt difficult, but I had to be strong today.

"Like I said before, anything that deals with brakes in general can malfunction." Harry said in a stronger voice this time, not backing away from his answer.

I wished that everything wasn't broken dealing with that night, because it seemed like my mind couldn't form a proper memory in the midst of crashing.
