The very high ceilings had a lot of blue and white streamers hanging down, all while there were balloons placed on each high banister.

A blue banner hanging proudly over a table with deserts, the words thick and white as it read 'It's a boy!' written in bold letters. The guests talked amongst themselves, a couple of them looking in my direction while some had a chance to whisper while they watched all of the guards crowd around us. I could just imagine what they were thinking, and it only made the entire thing worse for me.

Obviously some of them kept up with the latest gossip around town, even though it was only a thing happening around Jersey. They weren't foreign to the idea, considering none of this is the first time I've been placed in the news for serious affairs. And right being squeezed in a very peculiar sandwich of my friends, and then all of us being enclosed by a group of men with harness strapped to their chests and guns on the sides, it was a horrific sight to a normal person.

"Guys, I invited you today to have fun." I spoke in a soft voice, looking at each man that didn't really get the memo of a party. "You don't have to do any of this, don't think of it as a working issue. But possibly as if you're celebrating one of your own, it's okay not to be guarding me all day long."

"Mr. Malik has strict orders to keep a very close eye on you today, especially when he isn't present." One of the new recruited men spoke for a second, I had started to notice a lot of new people around; Blending in with the old guards as they switched places every other week.

Most likely it was used as a tactic, just to make sure everything is safe for me. The worst case for me is being followed, and someone taking notice of the schedule while having all of it memorized. But my favorite time of the week is when Zayn allows me to pick one day, just to have for myself without any extra people and switch it up.

"You're a computer boy, not a got damn navy technician." N'dra squinted her eyes at him in a degrading manner. "And you're only needed to make sure there are no unwanted guests."

He cleared his throat after N'dra's brutal attack about his job, keeping his eyes focused on the guests. "It's still an important job." The sound of his voice causing everyone to laugh, as I rolled my eyes.

"Whatever Niall, you're not even supposed to be down here." She replied in a agitated voice, crossing both of her arms while continuing to interrogate him. "You need to migrate upstairs for that sign of work, right?"

A sigh left me as the both of them seemed to get aggravated of each other, drawing even more attention to our group of unusual people.

"I will, as soon as I get some desert."

"You can have as much as you'd like, everyone can do whatever just as long as you take this job lightly." I stepped between them before she can throw another insult in his direction, trying to keep all of the fighting at bay. "There isn't any danger here, besides people fighting over who can show off their money the most."
