It had taken a few minutes for us to come up with a plan before the camera was in full function again, even though I had disabled the cables. There were back up generators that were connected to the main circuit line, even if I wanted to shut it down. It would be a matter of minutes before they were up and running again.
"I don't know about this." Avery whispered, looking very worried. Almost ready to back out of the plan.
We had spent a while going over it, as quietly as we could without getting caught. It seemed like it didn't take long for the system to be up and running again, leaving us having to whisper to each other out the camera catching our words.
"What if he hurts you?" She asked, her nerves making me more anxious by the second.
We both knew it was a possibility of this happening, but just for her sake I can convince her otherwise. But that was a big fear of mine as well, I have no idea about how far he'll go when it comes to me.
Everyone always made simple comments around me, how Brooks would never harm me intentionally. I never met the guy to make that kind of judgement, it was just something people have said constantly. But Floyd was a different story, just because he knew the guy doesn't mean he'll be sheltered with my life.
None of this was promised and just because he may know a couple of people that are related to me, doesn't mean he cares about my well being. That was understood the moment he allowed me to strap me to this table, not even a few hours ago. But I couldn't dwell on it, I had to keep moving for my sake.
I guess I should say our sake, since it's not just me in this place. It's Zahir as well, and I guess.... my baby.
"It's gonna be okay, just remember you're doing a good thing." I rubbed her arm gently, before nodding at her to open the door.
Once she finally calmed down, we were both ready to start the plan. The hallway was quiet as she finally opened the door, looking down the corridor before nodding at me.
She was ready. I took a deep breath as she turned to look at me, counting down in my head before she approached me with a syringe. It was just a regular vitamin shot, to help give me energy. Almost like an IV hydration treatment, it was something that could benefit me to get out of here faster.
I balled up my fist as she slowly tried to grab my arm before thrusting my arm at full force, connecting it to her cheek. She fell to the floor in shock, screaming loudly while holding her face.
"Guards! Help!" She screamed loudly, reaching over and pressing the panic button on the landline office phone located in her office. A siren was located around before the sound of boots pounding against the floor, came in our direction.
The moment the first guard reached around the corner, I jumped on top of Avery raising my fist again. Before I could swing again, he gripped my hair pulling me off her. More of them came rushing around, gripping my arm. They swooped me up off the floor as Floyd came with a hard look on his face.
