"She grabbed my hand and told me there was a reason, just don't give up."

"I —" I begin, I didn't know what to say.
The look on her face scared me and I took a step back.
"Ms. Sage, it was my fault." Roder said as he came out of the kitchen.
Roder glance at me before speaking again, "I showed up here late at night, and demanded Alazne let me in." He lied, I glance at him with widen eyes but he avoided eye contact with me.
"I'm sorry." He apologize.
Roder glance at me then back at my mother, "And for causing so much problems between you and your daughter, I'll be living."
Ms. Sage nod, biting the corner of her jaw as Roder went up stairs and grab his things.
She glare at me, "I'm not done with you young lady."
Roder bring downstairs his bag, waving to me as he smile weakly and left into the snow.
"Mr. Turner," My mother call him, he turn around to her as she sigh.
"Wait in the car for me."
He nod.
"When I come back home, I'm dealing with you." She wiggle her finger in my face before grabbing her keys on the counter, "Goodbye."

I sit in the car with deadly silence as Ms. Sage eyes flicker between the road, and me.
I glance through the window for a distraction — but nothing worked and the worst part was, she didn't tell me where we were going.
"Ms. Turner," She call my name stopping in front of a upstairs and downstairs modern house.
"Yes?" I reply.
"This is your house." She stated, "This is the house your mother had paid for you."
I raise an eyebrow, "But why are we here? I told you I didn't needed her help."
Ms. Sage turn around to face me, "Then where are you going to live? Huh? The streets? My basement?"
Ms. Sage sigh, "I promise you children are going to turn my old before it's my time.." She pitch the bridge of her nose.
"Cmon, Let's go and look around inside first then you can decide if you want to stay with us or here," Her gaze gardens on me as she wiggle her finger in my face, "Just don't get no ideas with my daughter." And for a second there, I mistaken her for a demon.
I shut the car door behind me as I tuck my hands into my pocket and walk towards the door.
Ms. Sage pull out a gold key from her pocket and unlock the door with it.
She quickly gasp as she open the door before stepping in.
"I thought outside was beautiful, but in here is amazing!" She cheered up and down.
Alazne and her shared the same personality.
Both of them get surprised for the most weirdest things.
I couldn't help but smile when I saw Alazne personality in her.
"Look at how big the kitchen is!" She swing her arms up in the air as she spin around in the white and black marble kitchen.
This was the happiest I have ever saw Ms. Sage. She was always up tight and miserable yet scared at sometimes.
"Your mother is so sweet for buying this house for you!"
I scoff, knowing my mother did this out of pure pity.
Knowing she still didn't give a fuck about me because of what I did.
She still tries to cover up the evidence of my crimes and decide to stay far away from me.
"So," Ms. Sage said as she approach me, "Are you going to live with us or here?"
The decision was the easy.
I rake my fingers through my hair as I pretend to think about the decision although my mind was already made up.
"If it doesn't bother you, Ms. Sage, I'd like to live with you still."
She nod, "Just don't think you'd be sleeping with my daughter." She narrow her eyes at me.
I sigh, "I won't sleep with your daughter."
"Good," She smile, "The only thing now I have left to do is try to get you into Gimlet High." She mumble as she pass me walking towards the door with one finger press against her chin as she thought.
I widen my eyes, "What?"
She turn back and scoff, "What? You think I'm going to have a teenager in my house doing nothing except laying on they ass?"
