"Try and run away from what you are but the title is label on your back."

"Monster."

I lay on the white sand, my gaze lift up to the beautiful twinkling stars, as they shine with delight on the windy night.

The beach was quiet and calm; the only thing heard was the waves crashing against the shoreline.

I let out a sigh of relaxation, knowing it'd be my last time feeling this at peace.

I ignore my phone buzzing in my pocket, not wanting this moment to end.

After all, people only call you when they want something.

I pace back and forth in my bedroom as I call Roder, wondering where he was but it just went to voicemail.

I glance up at my tv listening to the news.

"A teenage boy was killed today and threw in the river." The reporter said, "His name, Justin Burkes and 6'1. People reported seeing him going somewhere with another teenage boy but can't remember what he looked like."

I bite my bottom lip, tasting the disgusting liquid of blood as I shake my head.

"This is all my fault."

He was going jail because of me.

I pick up the phone to my ears again — waiting for him to answer as I kept my gaze on the tv, listening to everything they said.

"Hello?" I finally pick up the phone, Alazne quickly panic as she talk as fast as she could in my ears.

Not even the slightest words I could've heard from her except for the fast gibberish she was speaking.

"Wait, slow down Alazne."

"Slow down?! Are you even hearing me!"

"Yes, I'm hearing you but I can't understand you."

She sigh, "Roder, did you kill Justin?"

"Who's Justin?"

"My boyfriend!" She whisper yell into my ears, "Remember the one you killed today?" Her voice went softer.

"How did you know I kill him —"

"Because it's all over the news Mr. Turner."

"They're looking for you."

I shrug, "I did it for a good reason, Alazne."

She sigh, "Roder I know, but that reason is going get you in trouble."

"I'm aware."

"And your okay with this?"

"I have to pay for my crimes, all of them."

I could imagine the confuse look on her face.

"What do you mean crimes —"

I press out the phone in her ears, putting the phone in my pocket as I got off the sand.

I took one look at the majestically, deep ocean and then the glowing lights in the sky before leaving the beach.

I was going to pay for all of my crimes throughout my life — not just this one.

My phone continuously buzz in my pocket.

I sigh as I take it out answering it.

"Roder, where are you?" Alazne ask me, fear in her voice.

"Beach, Why?" I responded.

"Roder, leave quickly. We're there."

I raise an eyebrow, "Why?" I ask puzzled.

"Freeze." I turn my attention to the seven policemen and women holding guns and blinding lights.

They slowly approach me, "Put your hands behind your head." They instructed me.

My eyes landed on Alazne who stood far away from me as she stare at me terrifyingly with her mother beside her who just glared at me while holding her daughter.

"Sir, we said put your hands behind your head." The police repeated calmly.

I did as told, knowing it was for the best if I was put in jail.

There, I won't hurt no one.
