"I just kill a guy for you and it terrifies me what else I would do for you too."

A L A Z N E

I take a deep breath in — should I turn around and go to school or — I turn back around to the orange building in front of me.

I exhale, should I walk in?

"I don't even think he wants to see me — I should just go home." I mumble under my breath.

I turn around — about to walk away when a sudden tap on my shoulder stopped me.

"Aren't you suppose to be at school, kid?" A familiar voice asked me, I whirl around and met eyes with Roder.

"Aren't you suppose to be lock in a cell?" I reply back raising my eyebrow at him.

His send his hand through his hair as he point back to the prison, "My mother bailed me out." He respond and I nod.

"Alazne," He sigh as he scan the whole prison area.

"You aren't suppose to be walking with me." He added after a few seconds.

"I was just released from prison and I'm known as a criminal still."

I raise an eyebrow, "What do you mean your known as a criminal still—"

He pointed to the orange outfit and I nod.

"Oh." I respond understanding.

He remove his backpack from his back.

"I can change through if your interesting in waiting?"

"Sure —"

"Especially not." A voice said from behind us.

I turn my direction to the voice, a middle age black hair woman lean against her limousine as she glare at both of us.

She get off the limousine as her expensive looking shoes tap the floor as she approach Roder.

He glance down at her.

"You've just been bailed out of jail and this is what your doing?!" She yell at him.

She stare at me up and down before turning back to him.

"Running around with a teenage girl?"

"I was just walking her back to school —" He was quickly interrupted by her.

"And kill her along the way?"

She clear her throat as she stare at me again.

"What are you even doing here?" She then stopped me as she stare at her limousine then back at me again, "Do you want a drop to school?"

I gaze flicker to Roder who nodded and tell me go along then back at her.

"Yes." I reply and she smile, spinning around and walking back to her limousine.

She pause as she turn back to Roder who just stood there.

"Come along mister. I don't have the whole day." Her gaze cold on him as she turn back around and kept on walking.

Roder following behind us with his hands tuck deeply into his pocket as he approach the car.

The door was held open for us and after Roder's mother elegantly went in, we climb in the car.

I glance at Roder who by the looks of his expression, didn't care about anything that was going on.

He went on his phone as a way to distract his self from any possible conversations or just any interactions in general.

His mother begin to start talking, everything that came out of her mouth was quick and unimportant to Roder.

He ignore her as every word roll off her tongue.

She glare at him, "Did you hear that Roder?" She ask through gritted teeth, gripping on to the chair as she lean over in front of him trying to gain his attention.

He glance up at her and back down into his phone, not even hearing the words she just said.

She quickly grip the phone out of his hands — throw it on the floor and stomp on it using her heels.

Her gaze went back up at him as she fix her hair, "Now, Do I have your attention?"
