He was sad.
Most of the time he'll just glance through the window, glancing down at all the things he missed during his childhood.
He was lonely.
Not a single visitor, not a single person coming to visit him and ask if he was okay.
But that was norm...

"Silence is the secret way of rejection"
A L A Z N E
"Mom," I call my mother as I turn the door knob and enter the house.
I drop my bag on the floor as I shut the door and continue searching for my mother.
She said she was home but she isn't answering me calling her.
"Mom?" I call her again but the silence haunted me.
She wasn't answering.
Maybe she was sleeping?
I walk up the stairs, glancing around everywhere as I call her name.
I enter her bedroom; the last room in the house I didn't check yet.
"Mom?" I knock on her door, hoping she'll answer me but there was no reply.
I enter the dark room, flicking on the light before going any further in and continuously repeating the words, "Mom." Waiting to be heard.
Red liquid quickly travel towards me on the floor slowly ruining her carpet.
I gasp — putting my hands over my lips as I follow the stained carpet.
My mother laid there, her eyes shut as her neck was widely cut open — blood flowing out uncontrollably.
Tears stream down my cheeks as my vision got blurry.
My hands begin to shake as I step away from her body.
I was suddenly grab from behind and push against the hard wall.
The firm arms of a woman tightly grip around my neck as she stare at me with anger in her eyes.
She didn't say a word.
Her hands clench around my neck as I just stood there — waiting for her to strangle me to death.
My phone begin buzzing — I glance down at the phone that laid there on the floor that drop out of my pocket when the girl pushed me. It quickly light up as Roder's name suddenly appear.
I flutter my eyes shut again — hoping he'll stop calling after missing one call but it still went on.
It never stopped.
He kept dialing my number over and over and I know he wasn't going to stop.
I glance at the girl's long kinky hair and couldn't help but smile.
"You have beautiful hair," I whisper to her, my voice toneless and low.
Her whole face was covered with a creepy mask. The only thing I couldn't comment about.
But I bet she was beautiful under the mask as well.
My phone buzz again — a text from Roder coming through.
Roder : I'm at your door, I was thinking about finishing the promise? You know, the walk?
"It's already too late for that." I whisper to myself.
She put two of her hands around my neck, hopping if she add a little more force, it'll kill me faster.
I gasp for air but it wasn't working — I could no longer breath — even if it was a little gasp.
I swing my legs back and forth as I grip unto her hands trying to loosen the grip.
"Please," I cried, my eyes soft and frustrated as they stared into her brown, heartless eyes.
"I'll let you pay." She said, her gaze never leaving mine.
"What did I do? I'm sorry — just please, let me go."
Her grip tighten, just as I thought it couldn't get any worse.
"For killing my brother, remember? Your boyfriend."
My eyes widen, "He was all I had left, and you killed him." Her voice cracked a little, a tear slipping down from her left cheek.
My phone suddenly buzz again, I turn away from her as I repositioned my shock face and glancing at his text.
Roder: Aren't you home? I'm waiting for you outside.
"Why aren't you dying?!" She yell frustratedly thrusting me back and forth against the wall.
My vision was beginning to turn black as I suffocated from lack of air.
I gasp all the air I could've which wasn't a lot, preparing myself as I scream "Help!!!" Hoping Roder will hear me from outside.
The front door bursting open was heard from upstairs as footsteps came rushing up the stairs.
The girl put her hands over my lips but it was too late.
She let go of me as she slowly turn around, raising her head to the tall tree like figure standing at the door frame.
Roder furiously stare at the girl as he approach her, the girl stepping away in fear.
