Chapter 4

Goldpatch opened his eyes with a thud. Where am I? Large pine trees surrounded him. He sniffed the air. Shadowclan territory! He woke a few moments later. He snuck out of the den. I must find out why I was dreaming about them. He ran into the forest until he reached Shadowclan border. He put his paws into their territory. Why am I so scared? I'm a medicine cat I have a different code! He stayed in the shadows of the forest, trying to avoid being found. He recognized the Shadowclan' scent was beginning to get stronger. I must be close to their camp! He was right. Goldpatch leaped into a bush near the entrance of the camp. He heard hissing and growling.
"I will lead your clan or else you'll regret it!" A voice grumbled. Frownstar maybe? No, it sounds like a she-cat.... Centertail, Shadowclan's deputy? No, she isn't that grumbly.... The voice sounded somewhat familiar. No, it couldn't be, Shiara! Sure enough, the tortoiseshell cat stood in the middle of Shadowclan camp, challenging the old leader. Frownstar was the oldest leader between the clans. He had one or two lives left. I hope it won't get out of hand..... Centertail showed Shiara her teeth. Kits squealed and apprentices were huddled together in a corner. Before anything else happened, Goldpatch ran to ThunderClan territory. He sprinted to camp.
"Leafheart! Shiara wants to take over Shadowclan!" He yelled once he was back into his den.
"What? Oh no! We must warn Foxstar..... Wait how do you know?" She questioned. If Leafheart knows I snuck into their camp she'll freak out!
"I-I had a vision." Goldpatch lied. Leafheart nodded and ran to Foxstar's den.
The leader was worried once the news had been delivered. He called a clan meeting.
"What? She can't take over Shadowclan!" Birdwing yowled.
"We must get ready to battle!" Pounceclaw challenged.
"No! We will wait to see what Shiara will do, we must wait. We don't know what she will do happened. In the mean time, train hard apprentices, Leafhear, Goldpatch tell me if any new messages have been given and everybody else give me suggestions on how to stop this!" The wise leader told.
Oh! While I was in Shadowclan territory I could have grabbed the rare herbs! I still can't tell any cat about them! We can't steal!
