Chapter 3

"It's unacceptable! He didn't do anything! I witnessed the whole thing!" Leafheart argued. Foxstar glared at his sister.
"Pounceclaw said..." Leafheart interrupted. "What did he say? Well, he didn't witness anything! I saw it with my own eyes! Why don't you believe me?" Foxstar paused before answering. "Well, what did Plantpaw do then?" Leafheart thought then said. "He insulted his brother, then attacked his sister for no reason and the criticized his brother again. Is that enough? Fallpaw tried to defend his sister and missed anyways!" Foxstar's face was no longer angry, but worried.
"I suppose it want his fault, but don't favour him because he's blind...."
"I don't, I just want this to end the right way." She said relieved. Foxstar called Plantpaw.
"You are confined to camp until I say so, I should have punished you more severely the first time. Harming your own clan mate is unacceptable!" Plantpaw frowned at the leader.
"Cinderpaw's alive! She's fine, I didn't do anything! No wonder the called you Foxstar, you're a lump,of fox-dung!" Plantpaw retorted annoyed. Leafheart stepped in.
"Stop! Go take care of the elders and help Mosstail with her kits, get on with it!" Once Plantpaw was gone, Leafheart told Foxstar that she was worried about his behaviour. Foxstar just nodded and guided her out. Leafheart checked on Lionpaw who she had left with Cinderpaw.
"How is everything?" She asked. Lionpaw smiled and told her about him making a poultice like she had shown him.
"Did you disinfect the wound?" She questioned, impressed. "No! I'm sorry! How do you do that?" Lionpaw was flustered.
"Don't worry! I was just making sure you hadn't taken my place yet! " she teased. Lionpaw's tense shoulders calmed. Lionpaw is a great apprentice. He reminds me of Goldpatch.... I miss Goldpatch.

Leafheart tossed in her bedding, trying to sleep. She kept thinking about Goldpatch, had he left because of her? Or because of his mother? Where did he go? Is he alright? A thought occurred to her and she denied it though it tpstill lingered in the back of her mind. Is he dead?
