"Did you call your brother," my mom asked from the kitchen table.

"He blocked my number, and Jahseh washed his hands of me so there ain't no luck there," I sighed. "I called Marco, he's excited and he told his mom who called me to confirm," I sighed.

"And what did his mom have to say?" My mom asked. She hasn't looked at me since the moment I told her.

"She's making him get a job and they'll help however they can," I sighed. "And to call her if I need anything."

"And what are you going to do?" She crossed her hands and looked up at me for the first time this month.

"I don't know." Having her eyes on me after so long made my stomach feel funny. " I'm going to work on getting my GED for now and then be a stay at home mom and figure something out for my income." I shrugged.

"Glad you have a plan, I'll help you however I can, you can turn Stokeley's room into nursery I guess and I'll try to get a hold of him so he can come help me too," she sighed.

"Help you with what?" I asked dumbfoundedly

"Take care of the kid?" She rolled her eyes.

"You don't have to do that. I got it mom. I'm doing summer school and the rest will just homeschool so I can get GED before I have the baby. Marco can help me it's his kid too," I sighed.

"Okay," she got up. "Come on."

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"I made you a doctors appointment and then we are going to see your brother, he hasn't been over here since I told him." She frowned.

I felt bad. My mom and my brother have always been really close. He was the only man she honored and my mom was the woman of Stokeley's heart. They were the best of friends. And me getting pregnant drove them apart.

And I hated knowing I was responsible for it.

"This might tickle a little bit," Dr. Rivera smiled as she put some gel on my stomach following with some wand monitor. I sighed as she began to move it in different areas of my stomach. "It looks like your about 10 weeks along," she smiled. "Your baby is the size of a grape right now. Would you like pictures?"

"Uh yes please," I smiled as my eyes watered. With only one look at the screen I could feel my heart throb. My world stopped spinning for a second. It felt like I was looking right at the other half of me.

"Okay I'm going to give you a prescription for some vitamins that you need to take in order for the baby to be brought to term in the best health possible." She explained.

"Okay, thank you," I mumbled as I took the paper towel she offered to me. I grabbed the photos from her and smiled down at it.

My baby.

"Hi Mommy," Jahseh smiled as he opened the front door and took in the sight of my mom and I. He pulled her into a hug. "Stokeley wouldn't let me go over there sorry."

"Don't worry about it baby, it has nothing to do with you," she reassured him.

"Hi Jah," I gave him a weak smile.

He looked at me, "come in, we need to all talk."

Damn this is nice.

"Owe let go of my hair," I whined as Jahseh grabbed a handful of my hair.

"Who told you that you could get pregnant?" He smacked my head.

"Who told you you could come to my house?" Stokeley said as he walked into the kitchen.

"Uh Uh, get in here." Jah looked at him, finally letting me go.

Okay, yeah, I deserved that.

"No jah i don't w-"

"Did I ask you? Mm no I didn't, I told you to get in here. Now get the fuck in here and sit the hell down. Now." Jah yelled, making everyone jump.

Stokeley stayed silent as he looked Jahseh up and down before, finally, limping  over to the couch, slowly taking his seat.

"Y'all need to stop acting like this. You guys are a family so act like it." Jahseh glared at both of us.

"I'm sorry," I said quietly.

Jah rolled his eyes at Stokeley when he didn't say anything back, "Stokeley?"

"I don't care I gave her too many chances and she just don't care," Stokeley rolled crosses his arms and leaned into the couch.

"I do care, and you have given me one chance, after that you just cut me off. I was trying to reach out and fix it but you're the one who blocked me on everything," I argued.

"You guys get on my damn nerves, y'all got my mama stressed acting like this. You don't even understand how much I would have killed for a family a year ago and you guys are walking around treating each other like shit and being petty. You guys have a choice to have a family. That wasn't an option for me, so I don't take this shit lightly. Stoke, you can have the couch until you fix this, and Royalty I don't even know what to do with your ass, " Jah sat on the loveseat by himself and sighed.

"Jahseh that's not even fair!" Stokeley whined.

"I didn't ask your opinion did I?" Jahseh glared at him. "Royalty What are you going to do? What's the game plan?"

I told him the same thing I told my mom this morning and he looked at me like I was stupid, "what?" I asked.

"First of all, you're not getting a GED your going finish high school just like a regular ass child, when you get home you will take care of your baby, and you will work for the money I give you by babysitting Aiden or cleaning up around the house. And seeing as to how your man has to be here to take care of the baby, you better keep him in order cause next time I might not be so nice. " he smiled.

"Jahseh I love how you just put my kids in check in so little time and I can't even do it," my mama laughed. "Well I have something this one wants, but ain't gonna get.  And this one here will do what I say because she is horribly scared of me," Jahseh smiled.

"So I have like no say in this?" Stokeley rolls his eyes.

"Not really no," Jahseh shrugged.

"I'll move you in next weekend when Aiden spends the weekend with Gazzy that way he won't be in the way, " Jahseh explained.

"Thank you," I smiled at him. Thank God for my family.

"Don't thank me until I get your fast ass through college," he crossed his arms.

"College?" I made a face.

"Yes baby momma, you're going going to college. I don't know what the hell you thought this was. My god baby ain't finna have a bum as a mother," Jahseh laughed.

"Now since everyone is getting along, what are we doing for Aiden's birthday?" Jahseh sat back in his spot on the couch, crossing his legs.
