I yawned as I walked into Alaia's room to change her diaper. Her first birthday is coming up in three days and I'm excited. I have the whole entire party planned. She has a photo shoot today. Too bad Stokeley isn't going to be in it cause it's supposed to be family. But he's been tied up with work since he's moved out a few months ago.
I tried to come to terms with us not being together but it still hurts. Every time he sees me he apologizes and tries to rekindle our love. The love never left. Just the trust. I will always love Stokeley. He was my first love. Other than my kids of course.
"What's wrong mamas?" I asked as she started fussing again.
"You wanna eat?" I asked as I took her down stairs to the kitchen. I Sat her in her high chair and went to the fridge to get her baby food. I got the apple and blueberry mix and grabbed a baby spoon. I sat in a chair in front of her high chair and started feeding her. She uses a bottle at night. She's learning to use the toilet and she walks now. My baby is advanced and smart. It's cause I'm not a lazy parent. I do anything and everything I can for my kids. And I do so many activities with them you won't ever see them bored unless it's Sunday.
Sunday's are lazy days. Well chore days. We do laundry and deep cleaning and things like that.
"Brotherrr.." Naomi walked into the kitchen as she smiled widely.
"Sisterrrrr..." I smiled at her.
"Did you see that interview that Stokeley did?" She asked as she showed me her phone.
This ain't a actual interview I'm making this whole thing up ok.
She pressed play and gave it to me. "Here can you feed her?" I handed her the spoon and walked over to the table.
I pressed play again and began watching it.
"So how did your career get started?" Ellen asked Stokeley.
"Umm to be honest it was Jahseh. He featured me in one of his songs and that's how I got noticed. But after that I think it was up to me to make myself come up. Hard work you feel me." He chuckled.
"And what about your kids? How are they?" She asked.
"Aiden is about to be eight, shits crazy. I mean they grow up so fast. I remember when he first came home. He wanted McDonald's and Jah told him no cause he wanted him to have a home cooked meal but I let Aiden have McDonald's anyways. Jahseh was big mad." He laughed. "And Alaia. Man Im going to need like fo or five hundred guns cause she's only gonna be one and she's already thick. And she's so beautiful. I already know I'm going to die because of something to do with her and some boy." He shook his head.
