Not Mine but His Mate (Completed)

Three weeks had passed and a few things has changed;

1.   After my blowup at the pride mates, it had been a week before I even step foot in the Mate's Den. But after the long hours of convincing by Dom, Constance, Cindy and June, I finally went back. Once I did, I was welcomed back with open arms. A huge one-eighty happened. Long story short, after I took my foot out of their a**, they got some f**king sense and they saw the error in their ways. Although I still feel like royalty with them constantly vouching for my attention, I am very hesitant to be completely open to them. I have yet to be open to Dom, what in the hell makes them any different? Not a d**n thing. Needless to say, I'm taking my time with them as well.

2.   Dom and I have been making slow progress. He is still patient with me and I have noticed that he has gotten better with his anger. He hasn't really been training every since I stopped going to the Mate's Den. He has been in close range despite me telling him that he needs to train. He always says, "I'm the Beta of the pride minou, I don't think you have anything to worry about." As he winks and kisses me. Minou, oh yes, he's been calling me that every since I woke up in his arms. I have no clue what that means, but I'll be sure to ask him what it means and why he calls me that soon. Needless to say, he's been close, and I can't lie, I enjoy his company more and more each day.

3.   And three.....well....I haven't had anymore lucid dreams of him anymore. I'm not sure why I noticed it, I'm not sure why it matters....but it does. I haven't heard anyone speak about him, haven't seem glimpses of him in person or in my dreams anymore. His lion spirit doesn't talk to me anymore and I have yet to see what he looks like in his human form. I had the mind to ask Dom about him, but then I knew he would get around to asking me why.......and I couldn't tell him. I couldn't tell him or why I wanted to know about the Alpha.

I don't know why.
I don't know.

I caught myself drifting off again thinking about him. I blinked a million times a minute until I finally realized that I was standing in front of the cage that once was holding the Alpha's Lion form.

How the f**k did I get here?
Why the f**k am I here?
What the f**k am I doing?!
What the f**k was I looking for?!

Again, I don't know.

I knew the cage was vacant because he had transformed but.....well nothing. I still had no clue why I was here.

"Hazel?"

I looked behind me and there stood Evan, looking at me suspiciously.

"What are you doing here?" He asked as slowly as he walked toward me.

Evan over the weeks has really taken me underneath his sister wing. Every since the very first time he took the time to speak to me like a human being until now, he's been a true friend. I wondered why he was here but I forgot that he was the one that oversaw the cages.

He removed his usual hat of choice as he stood in front of me. He must have saw me in the cameras.

I answered truthfully, "I don't know, Evan. I don't remember how I got here. I was sitting in the room and the next thing I knew, I was here."

"Does this happen often?" He asked.

"Does what happen often?"

"This losing track of time--this trance you were just in?"

"Uh no, this was the first time," I lied.

He looked as if he knew I was lying. He probably did but he didn't want to press the issue any further. I was grateful for that. I didn't want anymore questions asked about this.
