~Hazel's POV~~In the darkness, he waited for me. My sweet Dominic. He stood a distance from me with a smile on his face. My handsome mate, I couldn't help but smile at him too.
He reached out a hand to me and began walking toward me. I began walking toward him, eager to finally touch him and be in his arms.
Hazel!
That sounded like Narcissus' voice.
Oh no!Dom and I looked at one another, worried for one another. In sync we both began running toward each other. The darkness around us began to consume us but we kept running. We almost touched each other's hand before him and I were violently ripped away from one another. I screamed his name at the top of my lungs as I watched my mate through blurry eyes once again he ripped away from me.
It took quite a bit for my eyes to adjust to the bright light but immediately I felt the pain scorching through my body. I was hot and I was cold--I was shivering, I was shaking. But yet, I laid motionless on my back. I looked up at Narcissus standing above me with a worried look on his face.
In my mind and spirit, I had kicked him in the f**king face before backing away from him. But in actuality, my body didn't do s**t.
I was weak. I was very weak. I couldn't even form enough strength to do the simple action of wiping the tears from my face or form words. I've never felt anything like this before. I felt like I was dying--and hell, by the looks of it, Narcissus thought I was dying too.
Narcissus placed a hand on my sweaty forehead, "She's still running a fever, Evelyn! You said the fever would break by now at least!" His voice was booming to my ear drums, yet, I had no energy to even say anything. I had to endure that pain too.
"My King-" Red began to say trying to defend Evelyn but was quickly cut off by the hot tempered King Zeebrian.
"It's been three f**king days!" He roared! Very loudly I might add
Hold up. Wait a minute.
D**n, I've been out for three days?
S**tBut on the other hand, Narcissus was pissed. Officially and visibly.
I wish he wouldn't be pissed now though. Every time he talked, my body ached in pain. An endless supply of tears kept rolling out of my eyes as well. Sadness was another word to help describe my emotional state right now.
"She is still human, my King. Most humans would have died immediately after the initial bite--especially with how viscously you bit her," Evelyn responded with folded arms.
