~Hazel's POV~

As I sat there, while everyone else around me were engaged in deep conversations, my mind wasn't even in the room. It was with Dominic and Leander. It was times like these where I was glad that Dom couldn't read my mind. Half of the time, I didn't even know what I was thinking. Chile, I just needed to get my f**king life together.

Okay, I have had enough.

I got up, completely ignoring everyone's conversations until I heard my name. I turned around to Constance, June and Cindy staring at me as if I had five heads or something.

"Hmm..." I answered turning my ears back on into my reality.

"Where are you going?" Constance asked.

"Oh, uh, I need to use the bathroom," I said.

Cindy began to get up from her seat, "Oh, okay. Well I'll take you-"

"I'm not twelve, Cin Cin. You don't have to escort me to the bathroom, just tell me where it is," I said while chuckling.

Cindy pointed in the direction of the bathroom and like lightening I was out of there. Finally some quiet--more time to think. More time to.....

"What are you doing in here?" A booming voice said behind me. Startled, I immediately turned around to see the Alpha himself. I swear I could have s**t my pants at that moment. I'm not really sure I didn't s**t them.

He stood across the room, with his arms crossed, his back leaning against the shelf. A shelf?!
Where the hell am I? This isn't the bathroom!
S**t!

"I won't repeat myself, woman," his commanding voice said again, very rudely I may add.

Before I knew it, I blurted out, "Watch your f**king tone with me and my name is Hazel, not woman," I corrected.

"Excuse me?" he said as he pushed his back off of the shelf.

Oh s**t...
Great, the first words he's ever spoken to me and I've already kind of told him off. Great Hazel. You're f**king great with people--such a d**n people person.

Getting out of my thoughts, I noticed him closing in and the pumping of my heart sped up. "Umm..."

"You want to repeat that?" He challenged--his low deep voice dancing in my ears.

I couldn't lie.

Something was drawing me to him, like metal to a magnet. The tension was thick and I knew that if I stayed this close to the Alpha any longer, something would happen against my free will and better judgement. So I fought against this magnetic field that tried its best to pull me toward him and headed for the open door. Leaving out if the room I eventually ran into the familiar arms of my mate, Dominic.

Of f**king course. Because why the hell not?!

His arms wrapped around me, "Hazel? What's going on? Your heartbeat was no longer near enough for me to hear it. What happened? Are you alright?"

I looked up at him, "Nothing, nothing Dom. I was just trying to find the bathroom-"

"You being in this room definitely proves that it is indeed the bathroom you have found," Leander taunted from behind me.

SSSSSSKRRRRRRRTTTTTT

Hold the f**k up.
The f**k did he just say?
Oh yeah, At that moment, he had me all the way f**ked up. How dare he accuse me of lying. I don't care how strong my unusual draw was to him, I was about to give him a piece of my mind.
