Chapter 21: Home 🐾

~Hazel's POV~

The sun beamed down on Dom and I as we sat in the grass. He rubbed my exposed legs softly as I laid into him, his usual warmth radiating from him onto me. We sat there quietly, just enjoying the company of one another.

It was perfect.

"I could be with you like this forever, babe," he said to me. He couldn't see it, but I smiled at his statement, which I always did when he would profess his love for me. I closed my eyes and leaned into him more.

Then he said, "I love you, Hazel."

I opened my eyes and my smile dropped along with my stomach. I believed him when he said it, no doubt, but just in that moment when he said it, I felt horrible.

Tell Him.

A voice said to me.
It was right.
It was only right that I own up to the truth and tell him.

I sat up and turned to him. He had a worried look on his face, "What's wrong, beautiful?"

I gave him a saddened smile as I caressed his face. I cared for him a lot and the last thing I wanna do is hurt him. He deserves the truth about what happened between Leo and I.

"Well Dom, I, there's s-something I have to say."

"Yes?"

As I opened my mouth to release the truth, I noticed that Dom was now staring past me, clearly it wasn't a threat, or else Dom would have reacted. Behind Dom I noticed the sun quickly being blocked by dark clouds.

I closed my mouth and looked behind me.

The blood drained from my skin.
The pace of my heart began to race.
I shuddered.
It was him.

"L-Leander....w-what are you uh, doing here?" I stuttered.

He stood over Dom and I with such power and dominance, I nearly passed out from anxiety.

"What's up Leo? Is everything alright?" Dom asked Leo.

"It will be when she tells you about us," Leo replied.

My eyes stretched as big as they could. This muthaf**ker just spilled all the mutheaf**king beans!

'Oh f**k me!' I said in my head.

'I would absolutely love to,' Leander said to me in my head.

I shuddered again, then I heard, "The hell is he talking about?"

Oh no, that question came from Dom. I turned to him. He didn't have a worried face anymore but he waited for a response.

Softly, I said, "Dom, that's actually what I wanted to-well wait...there's, there's no us-"

"NONSENSE!" Leo said as he pulled me up from the ground. I crashed roughly into his strong chest.

Dominic arose with the same aggressiveness. He was getting pissed but I knew the root was because of hurt.
