~Hazel's POV~

My lips continued to be attacked by Leander's soft lips and he wasn't try to pull back any time soon. At this point, my mind has fully processed what was going on, but my body was betraying me. And I couldn't stop it!

I can't stop kissing him. Why couldn't I?!

He growled lowly again as he continued to kiss me. I felt his reaction poking me in between my legs.

He pulled back and pushed my head to the side as he focused his affection on my neck. I bit back moans, trying to push through my body urges. This couldn't be right, but it was about to happen.

Just then, I felt his hand come up from roaming around me to his hand wrapping around my neck, preparing me for the great assault he was going to give on my neck. But instead, he unknowingly pressed my lioness necklace and activated the alert system.

Dom would be on his way and here any minute now. Leander also knew that and responded with a loud growl as he looked down at my necklace. My true mate was on the way.

We both said nothing but he didn't want to release me. My cheek was in the palm of his hand. We were still so close that he could kiss me again if he wanted. But he didn't. Instead he quickly pulled back from me, giving me one last look before speeding off into the night. Not even a full sound second later Dominic arrived.

With senses heightened, I'm sure Dom and Leander heard one another running through the woods but Dom was focused on me. He looked down on me, sitting on the grown still in shock and my hair all over the d**n place. This natural hair and nature, we do not mix!!!!!

"Are you hurt, babe?" Dom asked in concern of me.

I shook my head no, still looking ahead. Burning a stare into the tree in front of me.

"Are you okay?" He asked softly.

I looked up at this sweet and gentle man, knowing what just happened here. With his Alpha, his best friend and pride mate. And with tears in my eyes I replied, "With you here, I am now."

I popped up out of my dream. Except, it wasn't a dream, that actually happened, days ago. Yes, I said days. Surely I couldn't face Leander after the stunt he pulled and the stunt I pulled by listening in on him and Eila.

I looked over at Dom after I felt his hand rubbing my back. He said that his parents would do that to him as a child to calm him down, mostly when he would turn into his Lion form. It was a scary thing for him as a child before his whole species were cursed. He was right, it did work. The rubbing did calm me down, not all the way but a lot. He continued rubbing my back with his eyes closed. I smiled down at him before wrapping my arms around his warm body and snuggled up next to him. I kissed his bare chest before resting my head on him.
