~Narcissus' POV~

I sat at the head of the table as I watched my people mingle with one another. Us Zeebrians always have a big feast before a big war. Fuel for not only our bodies but for our will, for our soul. Everyone was having a f**king great time.

However I, I seem to not have much of an appetite. I knew exactly why. My mind was focused on my little troublemaker. That's right, mine! And the sooner everyone gets that in their f**king heads, the better it'll be for everyone!

Evelyn shared her vision with myself and my mother, the same vision Red saw. Apparently Leo imprinted on Hazel behind little Nicky's back. I chuckled at the thought again - The selfish bastard. It's just like Leo, definitely something he would do.

I chuckled again.
Hell, if Leo's and my history weren't f**ked up, we could have probably stayed great friends. But nonetheless, here we are and he has to die just like the rest of his pride and I can get my bride back. I couldn't f**king wait.

Besides, I know my mother misses her like crazy. Somehow during their short time together, mother had become attached to her like I've never seen. I suppose Hazel has that affect on people - case and point....me. That's why I'm all f**ked up about her. She got me all f**ked up so much that I can't see straight sometimes. And I still couldn't believe she isn't here now.

I need a f**king breather from all this happy s**t.

I decided to take this time to go check on my mother. I'm not having fun at this feast anyway and if someone tries to seduce me one more time, I'm going to slaughter everyone in the f**king room.

Lost in thought, I make my way to Hazel's old room where I knew my mother would be. Entering, I indeed found her. She sat on the floor in front of the picture of herself and Hellina. I couldn't see her face, but I'm sure she had been crying.

"Mother," I called out to her.

"I miss them, Narci. I miss them both," she replied. I heard the hurt in her voice. Sure my mother is a bit possessive over Hazel but she has a good heart. Before my sister was born, people would quiver at the Corwin name. My mother, father and I were ruthless f**kers that didn't give a d**n about sparing people whom crossed us. Everyone knew better than to f**k with us and then my sister was born. I'd like to think she softened us up a bit - my mother more than the rest of us.

"I know mother, I miss them too," I confessed. I wrapped my arms around her as she cried. The last time my mother cried like this was when Hellina died. My mother was severely depressed. My father and I couldn't figure out how to make her whole again, if that was even possible.

And then the next thing we knew, the whole land was cursed by Goddess Amora. But in a twisted way, I was happy that it happened because my mother didn't have to deal with that pain anymore - well at least for a short while. And then there was Hazel. She hand become my mother's healing. The first time I've seen her happy in centuries. It's the first time I've been happy too. Yeah, my little troublemaker is stubborn, but she'll learn to submit soon enough. She has no choice.

"Your majesty, your highness," a voice said from behind us. I knew it to be Red's voice. Though I'm glad my best soldier is alive and as strong as ever, I wasn't too happy with his choice of mate, Evelyn.

We turned to face Red and Evelyn standing in the doorway. They both bowed before us before they came closer.

"What is it, Red?" I began the conversation. Clearly it had to be something important if they came all the way here to speak with us instead of enjoying the feast.
