~Hazel's POV~
I was currently headed to the dining room, where breakfast was said to be. After Narcissus and his posse left, a few minutes later a group of women entered to get me ready for breakfast with their King Narcissist--I mean Narcissus. If I had chosen yes, of course.
And I chose yes.
My throat was still sore from the freaky big guy choking the hell out of me, so I probably wouldn't eat much anyway and the quicker I can leave the breakfast the better.
Long story shortened, they took me to a room to bathe, dress and make me up how they saw fit. The ending result was not too bad; a fitted white long sleeve shirt that was loosely tucked into my tan belted, wide-legged, high-waisted pants, topped off with beautiful white pair of sandals that fit me perfectly. They let my popping natural curls do what they wished and kept my makeup very natural to compliment my melanin.
While they got me dressed, it was the weirdest sh** ever. All of them just kept staring at me as if I were some powerful being or some s**t. Admiration were in their eyes as they stared and it was creepy as s**t. They probably wanted to eat my a** alive or some s**t. But either way, I kept quiet all the way until the very moment we stood in front of the closed dining room doors.
"This is where we leave you Miss Haynes," one of them said.
I turned to them and thanked them. Their eyes stretched as if I cursed at them. Yes, Kindness b**ches, Y'all never heard of it?
I ignored their shocked faces and right on cue, the doors opened right when I was about to open them myself. Creep status rose about two more levels. The huge doors revealed the huge dining room behind it. Grey and white were clearly the color scheme of the room. The setup reminded me of the movie underworld. That's the vibe I got instead everything was white and grey instead of black. I definitely didn't feel the warmth feeling in this room. I wanted to run the hell out of there.
"King Narcissus is expecting you," one of the men said, catching my attention from the room. "This way please." I followed him deeper into the room until I was met with this large table filled with candles, plates and flowers.
"I knew you'd come, Miss troublemaker," a deep voice said, snapping me back to reality. I was so focused on the scenery, I completely ignored everyone else in the room. But leave it up to f**king Narcissus to ruin my moment of my semi-admiration for the setup. I rolled my eyes and looked across the table at the menacing man, smoking a cigar, staring back at me. The smoke danced in the air as he lifted his head to blow out the rest. I took notice again at the ink on his hands, scales on one and a reptilian eye on another. Very interesting to say the least.
"Well at least one of us knew I'd come," I replied nonchalantly.
He smiled through the smoke and stood to his feet. I just knew he was about to come over and slap my a** for talking back.
