The Coming Out Cuddle

A/N: This is based off a headcanon I saw on Pinterest. I couldn't find it just now, but when I do, I will add it in.

One time when Remus was having a really bad day, he was so frustrated that when he walked into the common room that day and saw Sirius lying on the couch Remus just plopped down on his lap and buried his head in Sirius's chest. That's how most of the Gryffindor house found out about their relationship...

Now on with the story...

They are in 6th Year

3rd person POV:

Remus was positively annoyed. The full moon was tomorrow and today of all days, the teachers had decided to make sure they left no stone unturned to ensure he was positively irritated. He even got detention from Slughorn for tomorrow, but McGonagall said that she will explain why you can't come tomorrow and make sure he doesn't do the detention at all.

Thank god for Minerva McGonagall. The one competent professor at Hogwarts who knows that his hormonal activity is at peak at this time.

As he entered the Gryffindor common room, he was still annoyed and knew that only one thing can calm him down. Cuddling with Sirius. 

You see, they both have been dating since Year 5. They had come out to each other and confessed their feelings one day and then, they were never apart. But they haven't told anyone about it. Not even James, Lily or Peter.

As soon as he looked around the room, he saw Sirius sitting on the couch next to the fireplace with James on the other end and Lily and Peter sitting on the other one. Without thinking twice, he went towards Sirius, his anger and frustration at life clearly showing on his face.

"Moony! What's wr-", Sirius didn't get to finish as Remus dived into him, burying his face into Sirius' chest and curling up in his lap. "Bad day...", Moony mumbled.

"M'kay", Padfoot replied and ran his fingers through the werewolf's hair as he knew this relaxed him. It did and he could feel him getting calmer. Sirius kisses him on the forehead before turning to the others.

"So, where were we?"

None of them answer, in shock of what they just witnessed. That is when Sirius realizes that the entire common room is looking at them.

"What is it?", he shouts. "Can't a person cuddle their boyfriend anymore!?!"

1, 2, 3...

"Your boyfriend, you guys are dating?", James asks slowly. 

Sirius gasps and puts his hands over his mouth. They hadn't told anyone about their relationship yet. And this was not the way they intended to.

The sudden tensing and removal of Sirius' hand told Remus something was wrong.

"What's happening love?", he asked.

"We are in the common room."

Then he realized. 'Shit, shit, shit', Remus thought, 'now everyone will hate us.'

He turned around and tried to move from Sirius' lap but couldn't as Sirius was holding him by the waist. 

"Padfoot please..."

"You are not going anywhere. If they have anything to say, any problem with us being together, then let them say it."

Remus just buried his face in his hands, willing the tears to not come. He hoped everyone said something and finished what was eventually coming.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5...

Suddenly, shouts and cheers of "Wolfstar!", "Finally!", "About time, you two!", "Now my life is complete!" and "OTP!" were heard from every direction in the common room. 

Remus looked up to see everyone jumping around in happiness for them, mostly James, Lily, and Peter. 

"What is happening!?!", Sirius asked the three. 

"Come on! We have been waiting for you two to get together since 2nd Year! It was so obvious you guys fancied each other.", Lily exclaimed.

"Then why were you guys silent?"

"Because the two oblivious people finally understood their feeling and are dating! we were trying to process the information.", Peter replied trying to stop his jumping from excitement.

"Aren't you forgetting something, James?", Lily says turning to James, in a tone that suggests agree-or-you-will-die.

"Oh right. I was hoping you forgot", he said, before summoning his money bag and handing over 1 Galleon to Lily.

"You are forgetting something else too, James...", Peter said teasingly.

James simply sighed and handed over 2 Galleons to Peter. 

"You guys bet on us!?!", Remus asked, exasperated.

"Yeah, I bet you would get together before the end of 6th year and James said during 7th year.", Lily explained.

"And I bet you guys would take your time in telling us after you guys got together and James said the opposite.", Peter concluded.

"BTW, When did you guys get together?", James asks.

"Last year."

" 'Kay. And I get why you didn't tell us."

Sirius and Remus smiled at the three. Then Moony turned towards Padfoot and said, "Now that you know...", and kissed full on the lips and Sirius kissed with equal energy.

When they broke apart, everyone was cooing. They were just smiling at each other and Remus went back to his original position, his head buried in Sirius' chest and his body curled up on Sirius' lap.

"I love you, Paddy."

"I love you too, Mooncakes..."

A/N: How was this rubbish attempt at a oneshot?

I thought of this 2 days ago and finally had time to type it down. I find this very sweet but please give comments. Suggestions for Oneshots are welcome.
