The Picnic

A/N: This is again based on something HpAndHttydLover wrote, only this time, it was an actual idea (and a fun one at that).

Remus POV:

Sirius and I are going for a picnic date.

Well, me, Sirius, Peter and James, that is. 

So, it is not exactly a date, but it is as close as I will ever get to one, so might as well enjoy it. We all decided this last time 2 days ago when we were high from excitement (I don't know about what, but honestly, I have stopped trying to be logical around them).

We were walking towards the Black Lake, picnic basket in hand, talking and laughing about nonsense.

As we arrived at the stop for the picnic, James and Peter rushed to sit next to each other, their backs to the black lake. That left me and Sirius to sit next to each other, facing them.

Great. I didn't want my crush to be noticeable but here we are. I could feel the heat rising as I blushed, but I tried to control it and it, surprisingly, disappeared. 

Usually, when Sirius and I sit next to each other in classes, I can control my feelings but right now, in what would be a perfect date condition, with our other friends, I have absolutely no self-control. 

Luckily, I don't think anyone noticed because they all started going back to what we were talking about before.

Whew!

James POV:

Oh, we noticed.

By we, I mean myself and Peter. Sirius and Remus remained as oblivious as ever.

Peter and I have this all planned out. It was very obvious that Padfoot and Moony like each other. The stolen glances, the long stares, the light blushes. It's a miracle that the entire school hasn't found out already. 

Womtail and I cleverly planned this picnic that, for some random reason, we both will leave halfway, leaving Sirius and Remus alone together. Part of our plan was to be played by the Gaint Squid, who we communicated through in our animagus forms, so hopefully, he remembers and doesn't mess it up. (A/N: I don't know if this is really possible, but go with it).

Peter and I took the seats next to each other so that the two idiots had no other choice but to sit next to each other.

As soon as the four of us sat down, Sirius and Remus' cheeks were covered in light blushes, and it so cute! We then started talking and laughing, as usual, coming up with amazing pranks (Remus is a part of it, even if he acts as if he hates it), my master plan for surprising Lily, and upcoming Pranktober.

About an hour into the picnic, it was time for the next stage of the plan, our departure. "Hey, do you guys want to anger the squid?"

"What, no that is just plain stupid!" Remus exclaimed. "Yes! Let's do it, James!" Peter said according to the plan.

Together, we went to the Giant Squid and I whispered, "Come out please."

Peter aimlessly threw a rock to make it seem like we did anger the squid, right before it came out of the water and sprayed us with water and ink. Once we were dripping ink, we turned to Remus and Sirius and I said, "Oh no! We have to go up and change. You guys stay here and we will be right back."

We then ran all the way to our dorms, waiting for Wolfstar to happen.

Sirius POV:

I will kill James.

He had to leave me alone with Remus, the person I have a crush on. I was already trying to not go crazy over sitting next to him.

"So, what do you want to do?", I ask

"Anything."

"You can make flower crowns. Can you make me one?"

"Sure," he replied before we started collecting the flowers for him. That took about 5 minutes and we made our way back to the picnic spot. 

As he started making the crown, it got very quiet and suddenly, before I could register what was happening, I asked, "Do you like someone Remus?"

I immediately regretted it and hoped he didn't answer but he did. And it broke my heart.

"Yes, actually."

Choking back tears, I asked, "Who is she or he?". He had come out to us last year as bisexual.

"It's a he, and you know him very well," he replied with a smile.

Great, the person I like likes someone else who I know. Thanks, universe.

"What's his name?"

Remus POV:

Fuck it, I thought and decided to just admit that I liked Sirius.

"Sirius Black," I say and then look down to avoid meeting his eyes. I hear him let out a gasp and I squeeze my eyes shut, not wanting to see the disgust on his face.

"I- I'll go now," I say as I get up to get away from him, which I am sure he wants.

"No! Wait, why are you going away?" Sirius asks me.

"Because I just told you I liked you and you obviously don't and this is awkward and you probably hate me now and-"

My rambling was stopped when I felt a pair of lips on mine. More specifically, Sirius'. 

"I like you too," he said, "A lot. But I didn't think you liked me back."

Smiling, I said, "You thought wrong," and connected our lips again.

Best. Day. Ever.

A/N: Sorry about not updating for more than 2 months! I had no inspiration, End of year assessments, extracurriculars and more just piling up on me. 

And also, procrastination.

Also, SABRINA CARPENTER DROPPED HER NEW ALBUM TWO DAYS AGO!!!!!! IT IS CALLED "SINGULAR ACT II" AND EVERY SONG IS AMAZING!!!!!! IT IS A MUST LISTEN. ALSO LISTEN TO THE FIRST PART OF THIS ALBUM CALLED "SINGULAR ACT I", WHERE EVERY SONG IS PHENOMENAL!!!!!

I still need ideas. Please, I have no creativity anymore.
