Remus POV:

Right now, I'm over the moon because last night, I got engaged!

I'm going to get married to the love of my life, Sirius Black.

Sirius has gone to work while I have a day off from work today. As I sip my morning coffee, I start reminiscing about the past, back to when Sirius and I were just students at Hogwarts, when we both liked each other and knew that too, but did absolutely nothing about it.

We were such idiots.

(Flashback to Hogwarts)

3rd Person POV:

It is the Marauders' 4th year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The feast had just finished and the four boys were heading upstairs to their dorms in order to get some sleep. James and Peter collapse into their respective beds and fall asleep almost asleep, leaving Remus and Sirius alone.

They both noticed that the other person was also awake, so silently, they got out of bed and made their way to the balcony, gently closed the door behind them.

"Hey," says Sirius once they were alone.

"Hi, totally didn't already do this a couple of hours ago," Remus says, causing Sirius to laugh.

"Oh you smartarse!", Sirius exclaims, slapping Remus' arm.

They stand in comfortable silence for a minute, looking out at the quidditch field. Sirius breaks the silence by saying, "I got to know something about myself over the summer."

Remus turns his head to face Sirius and asks, "Really? What is it?"

Sirius sighs and says, "I realized that I'm... not straight. I'm bi."

Remus wraps his hands around Sirius and replies, "I'm glad you found yourself." Sirius hugs Remus tighter, whispering into his ear, "I don't what I would have done if you didn't support it." "Of course I support my best friend," Remus responds.

They pull apart and Sirius says, "There is no way I will ever not support you for anything, Rem. You could murder someone in front of me and I would still say that you didn't do it in front of the Minister of Magic."

Remus laughs and replies, "Me too, Siri."

"That's good because you might have to actually do that," Sirius says, causing them to erupt into laughter again.

"You know, I am questioning my sexuality right now. Like I know I'm not straight, but not sure what I actually am," Remus says, looking at the floor.

"That's fine, take as long as you want, even if you end up with no label."

After about a minute, Sirius asks, "Rem, did you ever wonder if you liked me?"

"Will you be freaked out if I said yes?", Remus asks tentatively.

"Nope, cause then I would be a hypocrite," Sirius says with a smile.

No one dares to speak for a minute, both of them trying to process the information.

Nervously, Sirius says, "You know, we don't have to be together. It's probably just our imaginations."

Remus sighs and adds, "Yeah I was thinking the same thing. It's probably just because we are so close all the time. And also, we are still young and unsure about ourselves, probably not the right time for a relationship."

"Yeah exactly...", Sirius responds, yawning at the end.

Remus notices and says that they should get some sleep. Sirius agrees and they go to bed. Unbeknownst to both, none of them could fully agree with what they decided.
