The House of Love (Part 2)

A/N: This was suggested by xinfinite_thoughtsx. It is part two to the previous oneshot, The House of Nightmares.

Sirius POV:

"Wake up sleepy heads!", James yells the next morning, effectively waking me and Remus up. 

"Argh..." I groan as I move away from Remus, who I happened to be curled into for the entire night.

Remus rubs his eyes and stretches. He looks so freaking pretty. "Good morning to everyone but Prongs," he says, playfully glaring at James before going to the bathroom. The rest of us laugh at that while James replies to Remus says, "Is that the way to talk to your honorary Marauder mother, Remus?"

"Yes," Remus replies from inside the bathroom, causing us to laugh.

I am still sitting on my bed when James comes to me and whispers, "You are telling me all about this later."

I nod in response.

The nightmare is still fresh in my head, flashes of it plaguing me throughout the day. I don't know how I made it through our first day of the 6th Year. 

At 6:30 pm, when our last class of the day was over, James winked at me as he pulled Peter with him to go talk to Lily. I smiled and shook my head as Remus and I were left alone.

"Do you want to go to the Astronomy Tower?", I asked him as we walked away from the class. 

"Yeah sure, the sky will be so pretty," Remus said as we headed towards the tower.

And that is where we are now, at the top of the Astronomy Tower. We are sitting at the edge, legs dangling off the tower, hands on the railing as we admire the view (he was staring out at the world, I was secretly admiring my perfect view: Remus).

We sit there in silence for 10 minutes, dwelling in the peace. I turn my head to look out and say, "Can I tell you about last night?"

Remus and I turn to face each other as he replies, "Yeah of course."

I silently scoot closer to him and say, "I was back there. Back at Grimmauld Place, at the house of nightmares. I tried to get out, but I was bound to a chair. My father, he....he cast the Crutacius Curse on me."

I hear Remus gasp and put his hand on my shoulder as tears prick my eyes, which I try to blink away but in vain. 

"It hurt so much like he was actually in the room. But I could have handled only that. What I couldn't handle was when they brought you into the room."

"Me?", Remus asks puzzled.

"Yeah," I reply. "He threw you on the floor and cast the Crutacius Curse on you. I- I couldn't see you in pain, I couldn't..."

I'm crying now with Remus wrapping his arms around me. "Oh Siri, that must have been horrible," he says, and I nod in response.

"I am guessing this is related to you leaving and you being terrified of what they might do to you. You have nothing to be worried about now, Sirius. They will not be able to get you for as long as the Marauders are there. James, Peter, and I will do everything we can to protect you, no matter what. We are your family now," Remus says, helping me to stop crying.

"Thank you Re, so much," I say when I pull away from the hug, wiping the tears away.

"Did that help you feel better?"

"Yeah definitely."

We then again turned to face the Quidditch fields below. I lay my head on Remus' shoulder and he doesn't seem to mind. 

Then, the words just come out of my mouth.

"I like you, Remus."

Remus lets out a laugh and says, "This friendship would be very awkward if you didn't."

I pick my head up to look at Remus and say, "I like like you, Remus. A lot. Like a crush that just won't go away."

Remus looks at me and asks, "You are not joking, are you?"

'Shit. I just had to blurt it out, right? This is amazing, fabulous. Rem might just hate me now,' I think as I reply, "No."

"I like like you too, Sirius."

"Wait what?", I respond intelligently. Remus lets out a giggle and says, "I like you too Sirius. I have for a long time but didn't want to say anything."

"I have liked you for a long time and didn't want to say anything!" I exclaim, causing both of us to laugh. 

"You know, I told James about me liking you over the summer and he promised to get us together by the end of 6th Year," I say laughing.

"I told James about me liking you last year!", Remus exclaims

"What?!?! I'm really surprised he didn't blurt it out to one of us, to be honest," I state, Remus nodding his head in agreement.

"Padfoot, do you want to be my boyfriend?", Remus asks me.

I nod and say, "I can't believe I'm dating you, Moony. Are you sure you want to date me and take on my house of nightmares?"

Remus holds my hands in his and reply, "I'm very sure of this. Together, we can convert your house of nightmares into our house of love."

I smile and hug him, thanking Merlin for my luck.

That is when James burst in. 

"There you guys are! I couldn't find you guys so I used the Marauder's Map and-", James rambles when he enters, cutting himself off when seeing Remus and I hugging each other.

"Am I interrupting something? What happened here?", James asks, looking at me, Remus, and then back at me.

"It's real, you were right James," Remus says. James' face lights up as realization floods to him and he yells, "YES! FINALLY!"

Remus and I laugh while James has his moment of euphoria. 

"Tell me everything. How did this happen? When did this happen? Did I help? Oooh, do you guys have a ship name? What would the ship name be? Reius? No. Sirmus? Ew, no. Well, I'll think of something eventually," James rambles again, causing Remus and me to laugh. 

We end up spending 45 minutes up there, explaining everything to James, thinking about who we should tell (if we want to tell anyone), James going off on a tangent about his rotten luck with Lily, and him still not being able to find a suitable ship name for us (thank Merlin).

At the end of the night, once everyone is in bed and asleep, I let my mind wander again. However, this time, it was all happy thoughts. Thoughts about school and pranks and the Marauders. Thoughts about a calm year, one with no surprises.

Thoughts about a plausible future with Remus, a life, a family, and a house that is full of everlasting love.

A/N: Hey guys! This was part 2 continuation to the previous oneshot. I had originally not planned for a part 2 but xinfinite_thoughtsx had suggested it and I thought about ways to extend it, and I ended up with this.
