TW: Mentions and parts of parental abuse.

Sirius POV:

It's the 6th year at Hogwarts, and the four Marauders are back for more mischief. The summer before, I ran away from my home, from my abusive parents, and escaped to The Potters. Lucky, they were really understanding and welcomed me with open arms, making me part of their family.

James and I had so much fun over the summer, becoming closer than we were. James, Remus, and Peter know about me being gay and it's never been a problem for them (thankfully). What I never told any of them is that I like Remus. A lot.

Halfway through the summer, I needed to tell someone about this and decided to tell James. Once I told him how I felt about Remus, he just shouted "YES!" before asking a million questions.

The night before we had to go to Hogwarts, James said, "I'm going to help you get Remus."

Startled, I respond, "What?"

"I'm going to help you win Remus over. It will be so cute once you guys are together," James says giddily.

"No, James, no. I know he's bi, but he might not even like me like that."

"Oh, nonsense! He definitely does. I would argue more, but I'm sleepy, so goodnight!", James says and switches off the light before I can get another word in.

Sighing, I close my eyes and fall asleep, looking forward to meeting everyone again.

Right now, the grand feast just finished are we are all in our dorms, unpacking and talking. Like every year before, Remus' bed is next to mine, and James' bed is next to Peter's. We finally fall asleep around midnight, wanting to be rested for their first day back at Hogwarts.

I don't know how long it has been but it seems like I was back at Grimmauld Place. Back at the old house with my torturous parents. How I'm back here I don't know. I try to get up and leave but I can move. I look down and notice that my arms and legs are tied to a chair.

I am being held hostage by people related to me.

"Wh-what are you doing?", I ask tentatively to no one in particular.

"Oh come on, little one. No need to be afraid, it's just your family," my mother responds with a not-at-all-calming smile. She comes closer to me and I try to push the chair away from her.

"No, don't come near me. None of you are my family, not after everything you guys did to me."

My dad appears from being my mother and says, "Now, you don't disrespect us like that." He pulls out his wand and puts the Cruciatus Curse on me. I feel my body contorting in pain and I can't stop myself from screaming out.

My father stops the spell and they both laugh at my pain. "Look at his pathetic Gryffindor, not able to save himself," my mother says tauntingly.

"I want to hear his screams when we torture his beloved friend," my father says, going out of the room.

"Friend? What? Who? Why are you doing this?", I ask, fear filling my body.

Nobody responds to my questions, and my father enters the room again, this time with Remus. His hands are tied as my father throws him onto the floor.

"Remus!", I exclaim.

"S-Si-Sirius...", Remus says, out of breath.

I look at my parents and ask, "Why is he here? If you have a problem with me, hurt me, not him!"

"Oh but that's no fun now, is it?", my mother says.

That is when my father puts the Cruciatus Curse on Remus. He immediately cries out as his body writhes in pain on the floor. I feel tears coming out of eyes as I scream out for help, for anyone to hear me.

"REMUS! SOMEBODY HELP US! REMUS!"

Faintly, I hear someone saying, "-ius, Sirius...". They sound so familiar...

"Sirius, Sirius, Sirius!", the person exclaims, causing my eyes to open and me to suddenly get up from the bed.

I turn towards the voice and see Remus standing there with a very concerned look on his face.

Oh, it was a nightmare.

"Are you okay, Sirius? I heard you screaming for help," Remus asks.

"I think it was a nightmare, and I hated every second of it," I reply, touching my face to find fresh tear tracks lining my cheeks.

Slowly, Remus sits down next to me and asks, "Do you want to talk about it?"

"I... I don't know. Will it help?"

"Maybe, but you don't have to tell me yet. Whenever you are ready to explain, I'll be there, okay?", Remus says gently.

I nod in response and I feel his arms wrapping me in a warm hug. I lean into him, his natural warmth calming me down.

"Just so you know Sirius, you are loved by us, okay? No matter what happens, we always have your back cause the Marauders would never leave one behind," Remus whispers into my ear.

My body relaxes onto him as I hug Remus tighter for comfort. "Thank you, Rem. You are amazing and I don't know how to explain this, but you feel like home."

I look up to see Remus smiling down at me as he says, "I could say the same thing."

After 10 minutes, I have fully calmed down thanks to Remus, but as he was about to go back to his bed, I didn't let go of his hand.

"Rem, can you sleep here tonight, please?"

"Of course Si. Scoot over though, or I'll end up sleeping on top of you," he says, causing me to laugh as I make room for him on my bed.

As we fall asleep, I think about what James wants to do. He wants to set me and Remus up and honestly, when he first suggested it, I was terrified of what Remus' response would be.

But after tonight, I know I'll be fine no matter what his response is because even if Remus is not my boyfriend, at least he will remain my best friend and that is more than I can ask for.

A/N: Hey guys! This idea was fun to write though I had no idea where I was going with it when I started it. I am really sleepy and don't want to do work, so this is what came out of it. Hope you enjoyed it!
