Red Threads

6th year

Sirius POV:

"Today, we will learn about the Red Thread spell.", Professor Flitwick explains. "This spell shows you all the people who love you, platonically or otherwise, and they are signified by red threads tied to our finger and their finger as well. 

"When a person is born, they have 3 sets of threads, 2 for their parents and one for their soulmate. You soulmate thread in always darker than the rest. If someone you loved has died or doesn't love you anymore, that thread will wrap itself around your index finger.

"The incantation is Rufus Amor-Fila. Now off you go."

I look down at my hand and say the spell. Almost immediately, I see red threads appear, extending from my fingers. 

Two of the threads are wrapped around my fingers, probably my parents. One of the light red ones is connected to James, who gives me a thumbs up, the other to Peter, who smiles at me, another to Lily, who looks slightly shocked but smiles nonetheless. The last light red threads appears to go out of the room and I think that it is Regulus'. I smile at that and then remember about the dark red soulmate thread.

Apparently, my soulmate is in this class, but I don't know who. I hope it is Remus, my best friend and the person I love. He doesn't know that, of course, but I do.

Seeing no other option, I tug at the thread. I keeping on pulling, hoping my soulmate will come out. 

"Sirius?"

Oh. My. God. My soulmate is...

"Remus?"

I look down at his hand and see my thread ending on his finger. He smiles at me and says, "I have loved you since the third year, Sirius."

I look at him in shocked before replying, "Really, because me too. I only ever told James though."

"I too told James."

We both laugh and then he says, "Now I am going to do something I wanted to since the day I saw you.", and bends down to kiss me.

I freeze for a second, before responding with equal love and energy. When we pull apart for air, we both are smiling like idiots in love, which we are. 

James looks at both us and smiles. Then he points to Lily, who is standing next to him, and shows his soulmate thread... which connects to Lily's finger. She is blushing so hard I thought her head was going to explode. 

I look for Peter and find that his soulmate is Mary MacDonald. I turned just in time to see them kiss. 

I was ecstatic. I was with my friends and the love of life, some would say soulmate, Remus Lupin. Life cannot get better...

A/N: How was this very rushed chapter? Sorry for the late update, I was working on a different book which is called "Harry Potter oneshots"

It will have all my favourite pairings, other than Wolfstar and Jily.
