3rd Person POV:

"Argh! You don't understand!", Sirius yelled at Remus. He looked like he was ready to rip his head off.

"Sirius, calm down. It will be fine, we can talk it out," Remus tried to reason with his husband.

"No, we can't! Dumbledore won't listen to us! He will send Harry to the muggles!", Sirius exclaimed and stomped out of the house, leaving Remus alone with Harry.

James and Lily had been killed by Voldemort a week ago. Miraculously, baby Harry survived and no one knows how. Sirius and Remus were going to visit the family in the safe house when they came across the dead bodies of their best friends. They both started crying instantly before they heard Harry's cries. Sirius couldn't move after seeing James' body on the floor. He held his brother's body in arms and cried, unable to do anything as he lost one of the most important people in his life.

Remus cautiously climbed up the steps and entered the room to find Lily's dead body on the floor next to Harry crib, who was still alive. Remus went to the crib and picked up Harry who was crying. He rocked Harry to sleep in his arms with silent tears flowing out of his eyes. He walked back down to meet Sirius, both of them about to break.

As they were about the house, they met Hagrid outside. Remus explained what happened to him, telling him that Voldemort killed James and Lily as their location was ratted out by Peter. Then, the couple was on their back home, a piece of them forever gone.

They were slowly recovering now, Harry didn't stop crying for hours because he had never been apart from his parents for this long. But he was adjusting now. The three of them were living life.

However, when Hagrid told Dumbledore that Remus and Sirius took Harry home, he got angry. He had planned to give Harry to Lily's muggle relatives, even though McGonagall told him a million times that it was a bad idea as she had noticed their behavior by spying on them in her animagus form. She knew that Remus and Sirius were what Harry needed right now and was the best place for him, but she couldn't change Dumbledore's mind, no matter what she did.

Right now, Sirius was extremely angry at Dumbledore for wanting to take Harry away from them. However, he was taking out anger at his husband. He couldn't handle it and left the house, slamming the door shut.

Inside the house, Harry was asleep in his crib while Remus was trying to process what was happening. Yes, he and Sirius had argued before, but it was never this extreme. No one had ever left the house angrily, leaving the argument unresolved.

Remus was on the verge of tears when he hears Harry crying from upstairs. He quickly blinks his tears away and climbs up the stairs to get to Harry.

An hour later, Sirius returns home to find Remus playing with Harry in the living room. Remus is smiling, but Sirius can see the pain behind his eyes. Sirius approaches his husband, not wanting to mess things up.

"Rem?", he says cautiously.

Remus turns his head to look at him and says, "Yeah?"

"I'm sorry."

Remus turns back to Harry and, with a straight face, says, "It's fine."

Sirius' heart breaks seeing him like this. He goes closer to Remus and says, "No, seriously Moony, I am really sorry about lashing out at you. It's not your fault. I just, couldn't control my emotions. That was really stupid of me. I'm sorry, love."

Remus turns to face Sirius again and says, "I understand. It's hard to not be mad at Dumbledore. And yes, that was really stupid of you."

Remus has a small smile on his face now. Sirius hugs Remus and when they pull apart, Harry has his arms out towards Sirius. He takes him in his arms, protecting the only living part of this brother, of his best friend.

Soon, Harry fell asleep again and they put him back in his crib. While they were having dinner, Sirius asks, "Re, how will we do this?"

"Do what?"

"How will we stop Dumbledore from taking Harry away? I don't have to give him up."

"Neither do I, Siri. We will manage it. We will not lose Harry, no matter what happens."

"I really hope so. I want to keep this this. I want to keep this bliss for however long possible, without it slipping from our fingertips."

"Same here, love," Remus said.

They went to bed that night, scared for what is to come, hoping that their bliss would not be taken away.

Next week, when they came out of the meeting with Dumbledore, they were both happy. Dumbledore had agreed to let them keep Harry and not send him to the muggles.

When they reached home, Remus and Sirius celebrated this tiny victory because they have to find joy in the small wins.

That night, while his husband was asleep, Sirius vowed to never let anything harm Harry.

"I will not anything happen to you Harry James Potter, ever, no matter what."

A/N: I don't really know how to feel about this. It's kind of angsty though.
