Remus POV:

Sirius is dead. My last best friend, the man I love and never told, is dead. I don't know what to do anymore. Once we went back, I reached up to my room, closed the door with a bang and broke down crying. How do you go on with your life when your lifeline is gone?

[1 year later, Remus and Tonks' Wedding]

Today, I am marrying Nymphadora. I am still in love with Sirius, but Dora loves me, so I decided to forget about the past and get over it. I am getting ready, looking at the mirror and I start crying. Because I always imagined marrying someone I loved, that someone being Sirius Black. As I am wiping away the countless number of tears, I hear a familiar voice behind me saying, "Remus?"

That- That voice, it can't be. "Sirius?", I ask bewildered, turning around and seeing his face. 

"What- How- You, you died. I saw you, Bellatrix cast the curse and she hit you and you died. We had a funeral and everything. You are not real, just a hallucination...", I end, saddened at the thought.

"No Rem, I am really. It was all fake, just an illusion created by the death eaters. You remember exactly which spell Bellatrix cast on me?", Sirius asks me.

I think for a moment and reply, "I remember her shouting "Stupefy" and..." I gasp and trail off when I realize that Sirius is saying the truth.

"But how is that possible? We checked behind the veil and everywhere else.", I said confused.

"Well, see, my position in front of the veil was the part that was vital for it to work. Bellatrix stupefied me, and Dolohov, who was behind the veil, cast Wingardium Leviosa on me to levitate me through the veil to the other side. He cast a silent Disillusionment charm on both of us and then apparated to Malfoy Manor. They kept me captive there until a month ago, when, surprisingly, Draco helped me escape saying that he wanted to do at least one thing right in his life.

"I tried finding you for weeks when I heard Mad-Eye Moody talking about you in Grimmauld Place. Immediately, I apparated to Grimmauld Place and found everyone preparing for your wedding and decided that when I see you, I will tell you what I have been trying to say for years but never had the courage to."

Taking a deep breath, he continued, "I- I love you, Remus, as more than a friend. I know you don't love me, but I do. I have loved since Hogwarts and never stopped."

"Are you serious?", I ask, my voice wavering.

" Yes, and-", I stop him by abruptly hugging him tight and letting the tears flow again.

"I love you too, Sirius, I always have."

He pulls away and says, "What? Then why are you marrying Nymphadora?"

"Because I thought you were dead and I had to go on with my life, right?"

"Are you still going to marry her?", Sirius asks timidly, tearing flowing down his face as well.

"I-I-"

"No."I am cut off by someone behind us. We turn around to see that it is Tonks.

"He is not going to marry me, he is going to marry you," she says with a smile on her face.

"But-", I start.

"No, no buts. See, you guys have been through so much and I will not come in between the small happiness you guys finally found."

Sirius walks to her and hugs her tight, saying, "Thank you" over and over again.

"So, I guess this is the right time to ask you to marry me?", Sirius says with a cocky grin on his face.

"Yes!", I exclaim, laughing.

Dora smiles and says, "Come on! The wedding is going to sta-" She abruptly stops.

We turn to follow her gaze and see her staring straight at Jake Russel (A/N: Made up order member).

I and Sirius look at each other knowingly before I whisper to Dora, "Go get him."

She nods and swallows before walking towards him, while I and Sirius make our way to the wedding. 

Because after all, Sirius and I have to become the Black-Lupins...
